Now that skylisters is dead, is there a good app that anyone knows of to track your collection? Collection vault sucks... it's too big, it takes forever to add your skylanders, and it isn't easily referenced. Skylisters would show you everything you don't have in an organized list. None of the other apps I have found do that. Any suggestions?

i am super low tech when it comes to my skylanders lists and keeping track of my collection.

I only collect the "in-game figures and variants", like dark and legendary, but not the "chase" figures, like glow in the dark or metallic.

What i have done from the start is to have a list of the next wave of figures in the "notes" app in my phone, and as i get them, delete them from the list.
I also have a SpreadSheet on my computer that i use to keep track of all skylanders, i bold the ones i have gotten, so i can check whether i have missed one from a wave in there somewhere.

I'll use the example of my list before i finished Swap Force as it shows it as it was at its most "complicated"

it is pretty much only useful if you get most figures as they are released, as even missing only one or two each wave it will get pretty unmanageable very fast. but like you have said, there is really nothing else that is any good.


I have found it helps me keep track of what i need, and is easily sendable to my wife when she is out shopping without me.
the only slight issue has been traps, as they aren't labeled with their name, just "Life Trap", so i've had to send her the trap checklist image as well.

If you happen to be using an iOS device, I very highly recommend an app called MyStuff. It is a completely, and ridiculously customizeable list app, but you have to do everything yourself. The list can be as simple as haves and don't haves, or it can be as in depth and crazy as you want. Based strictly on what it does, it is the most full featured app I have ever used.

I have all four games in it as different lists, which track name, element, figure type, power, defense, speed, luck, and compatibility with previous games, any of which is sortable and searchable, and I have each figure's collector card as the accompanying pic (and you can have up to 12 pics per item). I think I will go grab a screen, since I have to add Legendary Deja Vu anyway.

No app, I just keep a detailed spreadsheet with all my info listed.

Yes, that is the correct app. There is a setting in the app for picture size, the options being (original, large, medium, small), but I have no idea if there is a maximum picture size. I mostly use the camera on the iPad, but when I use an outside device, it is a 16 megapixel camera, and it handles the pictures just fine, as well as high resolution scans of the collector cards. You do not have to use pictures on the device, either, you can import from Dropbox, and perhaps other cloud storage utilities. Be warned, it is a very, very complex app if you want it to be, there can be a learning curve.

Is that app free?

What permissions does it want?

I believe it is $4.99. And I think it asks to access camera, and things like Dropbox and Box, if you use them.

Follow-up question, how do you use it? I got the MyStuff2 Lite though.

Has anyone had problems with the Activision Skylanders Collection Vault on upgrade? Mine just shows a circle and never loads the app for me.

yes, you will have to delete it and redownload. then you must add all your skylanders. another slap in the face, again.

Just realized I hadn't downloaded the Oct 28th update...now giving me percentage complete with the circle of doom. Hopefully this will fix it. If not, I'll be deleting the app--and with it--probably the last waning desire I have for this game.

I can export one of my lists and send it to you via email, AdamGregory, so you would be able to import it and look it over, but there is ver little chance would be able to walk you through using the app. Like I said, it CAN be very complicated, and I have made mine decently complicated. I keep several active lists, and there is still functionality I forget how to use on a regular basis. For instance, in my screen, you can see at that all of my magic Skylanders show up as purple text. Doing that is fairly complex, and well hidden behind a few different menus.

this one need some serious update, it got some bugs. a lot of stuff is missing, its to bare bone...

That app does not look good! Wowza. Did you only get MyStuff2 Lite to see if you would like it? Lite limits the app to 15 items, and that isn't going to be enough for any Skylanders collector. Fortunately, I only use my app to keep track of the stuff I own, and I don't need to keep travk of any Skylanders I don't have, because there are none.

I needed almost 4gb for the stupid app upgrade, but it eventually worked once I managed storage. It kept my data and it appears legendaries are included now. I think they are going to "introduce" new characters as needed.

After having to return multiples on more than one occasion, I've settled on a paper checklist (two currently since I'm still missing some lightcores...meh).

Collection vault would be alright enough for me if they didn't dump 100 characters into SSA, and it didn't frameskip everytime I moved to a different page (This would be the Android version on an HTC One (M8), for reference; I really hope they didn't make it as clunky on the iOS devices).

^ Something's up with Collection Vault. Scrolling used to be smooth as silk, now with the update...it has horrible frame rate. Feels glitchy to me now.

i miss skylisters... i have resorted to the ingame checklist... very, VERY annoying :/

Collection Vault also used to show skylanders that were not released but now they don't do that

I use Checklist+, you can't add pictures but it is nice to divide up categories such as Spyros's adventure core, Giants LightCore etc..
