What does the gate in the academy do?

A gate has appeared just passed the front entrance and to the left in my game.
It says it requires special items to open and will take you to special places, but I can't figure out what items I need to have. Are they certain trinkets?

These two packs of adventure add two chapters and thus he needs you that to cross the portal

Oohhh.. so it's a gate that gets you to the expansion packs. ANd the magical items needed are the adventure pack items.

I see... that explains a lot.

What are the Sunscraper Spire and the Midnight Museum?

They are two new special Adventure Packs (known as Action Packs), that will unlock two new levels, and probably have two new Core characters from new Elements.
They may also have special traps in them, but we currently only know their names, and that they won't have Magic Items, unlike the other Adventure Packs.

Actually they have the 2 Trap Masters. Spotlight and Blackout's soul gem are found in normal levels and when i look back at all the levels it says i have all soul gems. That means that Knight Light's soul gem is in Suncraper Spire and Knight Mare's is in Midnight Museum!

The new elements have been confirmed to be
light and dark
. Also you can use Hood Sickle to glitch into the unknown gates in chapter 2 and 13; chapter 2 has
