Don't you just hate the pink Gnorcs that Laugh at you? or the green Gnorcs that cheer in victory when you die? The blue Gnorcs are cool cuz they don't laugh at you.GGRRRR! I WANT TO SMACK EM ALL IN DA MOUTH!

I hate that too! It seems the only game that has that annoyance of the laughing gnorcs as well. It makes me wish it dead quicker, though, so after it hits me (if it does) then I make it suffer a long and painful death by repeatedly zapping it, freezing it, thawing it with flames (depending on the type of gnorc) but I'd think you get the picture...

It is a tradition in Spyro games. When foes score a hit, they laugh at you. This apply even to bosses. This is a fact that is present in (almost) all the games of the serie, including the portable ones as well as Spyro 6 and beyond games.

Just for an exemple... the Ice King will point and laugh at you after smacking you. Basic grunts will make a backflip after hitting you. Even Cynder make a victory pose after a successful attack.

Likewise, in Spyro 5 (A Hero's Tail), enemies laugh and taunt about when they manage to strike the player character.

Personally, I actually find it funny. It also help in later, harder levels ; the foe is laughing at you after giving you a beating? Seize the opportunity for revenge while the foe is celebrating over its destructive feat!

As for the foes' level of "annoyance"...

Green, smaller Gnorcs are definitely among the deadliest of all foes in the whole game. They are small targets and have terrific aim with their crossbows and laser rifles (last two levels). Also, when wielding crossbows, they will wait until you stop blocking (once you have the ability) before firing while the laser rifle-wielding ones have shots that strike you regardless of if you guard or not. Thus, they are nasty. As far as taunts go, their taunts are very quick and rather bland ; they just raise their hand in victory and make a single, not very loud squeak of sorts.

As for the most annoying taunt, I think the award go to the crabs in the second Realm, both kinds. While the crabs have some of the funniest damage and death yelps in my opinion, they also have an amazingly annoying taunting voice and their taunt pose look quite... stupid to say the least. So, I consider them more annoying.

If keeping it only to Gnorcs, the pink, large ones have the worst taunt. Their taunt is basic laughing. Longest taunt out of the main three Gnorc types, too. Varying on what they strike you with, a counter-attack might or might not be possible (if you're crushed by a hammer, it will take you a long time to recover so a counter isn't possible. Just being struck by the shockwave or a kick leave you with plenty of time to strike back however). Not as annoying as the crabs' taunt and might come off as funny sometimes but it can become annoying. Especially considering the length and that sometimes, despite the taunt being long, you can't interrupt it with an attack due to Spyro recovering from being crushed.

I sooooooooo hate the green gnorcs in Cloudy Demain, as well as the cannon robots in Dark Mine that you have to defeat to get the Dark Gem in a cage. Hmmm, I think I hate every....er, everygnorc that has a wider attack range than I do, cause then I have to be very sneaky, which is very hard, because for some reason, they always know where you are.

You know I haven't played Spyro for over 3 months that I don't even remember all of the gnorcs.

i hate the swinging shells in costal rimans when they kill you they don't taunt but its worse just the swing..swish..swing..swish over and over again!!!!! grrrrrrrrrrr i know i seem hyper but thats because i just ate loads of pancakes yum! i will say it again swish..swing..swish..swing..swish..swing...........

I know, they get on my nerves too. I really hate it when you end up dying, trying to get away after being hit once.
