Tarclops in Trap Team as a hat!

I just assigned all of my skylanders a hat on swap force to put into trap team as legacy hats.

Remember this prototype zap (tarclops)?

Toy for bob have actually changed the gloop hat into tarclops!

Wow that really is him. I guess for design he is this hat, but for play ability, he is nowsmilie. Notice his inspiration from Tarclops and how he does play like him with the slime slide ability.

Have you seen the redesigned Shark Hat? Instead of looking like a generic shark, it's now a Leviathan.

That leviathan hat is HUGE on a mini! It's like you're actually playing as a leviathan!

The Shark Hat is a legacy hat. You have to already have a Skylander wearing it from a previous game like Swap Force to unlock it in Trap Team. There are over a 100 other hats that you can only unlock this way.

^ From Swap Force. Put the your old hats from swap force on your skylanders and they will be unlock in TT.

Truth, but not all of them, for the bulk of them you'll have to manually port them over.

My recomendation is to dig out all your figures for the game (Swap Force should be able to get them all, I reckon, I did it game by game but it's probably more efficient to just do Swap Force), equip each and every one with a different hat, and then bring em over. I also had a checklist handy, ticking off which hats were purchased from Trap Team so I didn't double up. You'd be amazed at what differences there are between versions.

Hatterson only sells 36 of the 147 hats in Swap Force. You need to place Skylanders with the other 111 hats for them to unlock in Trap Team.

Four of the hats can also be unlocked by using the special hat figures which are Jolly Bumble Blast, Kickoff Countdown, Springtime Trigger Happy, and the preorder bonus card from Swap Force for the UFO hat. Using the figures makes the hats unlocked mixed up, although it works out fine if you have all three.

Oh, I had found out after I imported all of my older skylanders. There was a few hats I missed and they were in the shop so I assumed that he sells all the ones that kids can't get if they don't have the other games.

Oh nose...I have to put hats on all of them to do it? That's a bit much, please tell me there is at least a star associated with it. (Doing the shark though - that is cool)

EDIT: If you have the 3DS version of Trap Team, you can unlock the Shark Hat (and any other legacy hat) there and transfer it to the console Trap Team game as well.

No star or other prize associated with it unlocking all the legacy hats for use in Trap Team. It's totally optional.

Keep in mind you don't need 100+ different figures, each one with a different hat (although that is the easiest way to avoid missing/repeating hats). You can just use a small number of figures and keep changing hats between the two games. Very time consuming, but can be done. Keeping a checklist or something handy is good too if you're not moving all hats in one sitting.

Also, if you have the 3DS version of Trap Team you can unlock all 245 hats there, including the legacy hats. Then you can transfer those hats to the console version of Trap Team. I think that would take much longer though, as scanning figures with the 3DS portal is a pain.

What will blow your mind later is that if you start a second save file on Nightmare mode, you'd have have to do it all over again if you want your hats unlocked in that save file as well...

I kinda like how the Gloop Hat originally appeared. The Shark Hat looks even cooler than before in TT. Also, any Hat you place on playable characters like Cross Crow become so small you'll need a magnifying glass.
