Battle plan for Kaos on nightmare mode!

Ok so just beat hard mode and I am starting up nightmare mode. (Side note I liked how you could switch to nightmare mode in SF without having to start a new file) I went in blind and lost about 20 Skylanders, my best ones I might add. So this time around I am making a battle plan for when I reach him.

I have almost all of the first three games figures except for Fryno, Dune Bug, Star Strike, and Sprocket.

In Trap Team all I have is the Dark Starter Pack, Lob Star, Chopper, and Funny Bone. Plus one of each trap.

So I would like the help of some other portal masters that have fought him on nightmare mode to give some ideas on a plan I should run, who to use and which villains and magic items to use.

This list could also be used for anyone else that thinks they will have a hard time and want some help.

I am thinking ranged skylanders are my best bet.

Yeah, go for Chopper, Lob star, or Rattle Shake

I agree with Rattle Shake but I use the Rattle Drilla combo so I get three turrets and then him to shoot also.

Ive found the best person to beat kaos on nightmare mode is kaos himself. He can heal himself with his magic attack then just keep hitting the other kaos with undead attacks. Rinse and repeat. Took me about 6 minutes to beat it

If you dont have kaos then gearshift isnt bad either..

Do you have the Kaos Trap?

I always have trouble stoping on the right element with Kaos. Always end up missing and landing on Air. Though I do agree Kaos is a strong start.

Bumble Blast is the most efficient Kaos killer there is so far. Use him to learn his patterns, then obliterate him with a team. You don't have a lot of close combat opportunities and almost none in the final phase, range and homing erases that issue.

The trick with landing the right attacks is memorization. It's a set pattern; try and let go when you land on the elemental attack prior to the one you want. If you need to heal him do a quick "tag" out then back and he will start off with a magic attack.

Bumble Blast
Lob-star
Chopper
Zoo Lou
Rattle Drilla
Countdown
And Kaos

What does everyone think? Any magic items?

Gearshift - Fragment Mode Freak
Snap Shot - Crack Shot Croc
Evolved Kaos (mostly)

So far, these are who I would choose against Kaos in Nightmare mode.

Use Wolfgang. He can use his music projectiles while Kaos is talking and they do a LOT of damage.

Go with Pop Thorn He can run away and shoot Kaos.
