Best way to get money out of the Chomp Chest battle

I was watching my mom play Monster Marsh, and when she got to Chomp Chest, she used funny bone until he was low health. Then she switched to evolved Sheep Creep. Even though only did 15 damage a shot, it was so fast, it got a lot of money out of him. Funny Bone only started the battle with a few hundred gold, after Sheep Creep collected all the gold, he had over 3200. Crazy right?

The gold that drops from Chomp Chest is equivalent to the damage your attack did. Using E-Kaos on him on Nightmare yields 790 gold a hit (with undead reel), and roughly 6k per run. Easy for upgrades considering CC's fighting area is very close to the beginning of the stage.

I know this is completely different, but could someone tell me how Chomp Chest's money radar works? 'Cause I can't figure it out.

When you press the radar button, if you see a full bullseye you aren't close to treasure. If you see a partial bullseye, you are close and it will point you in the right direction. Once you are near the treasure you will see an X, press the radar button again while on top of the X and chomp chest should dive into the ground and dig up the treasure.
