With the embargo over, I would like to post a quick review on the Eon's Elite Skylanders, Spyro and Chop Chop I received.
The two variants have amazing power, even at Level 1. Starting at 840 (Spyro) and 900 (Chop Chop) health respectively and their attack power ranging from 120-270 damage. In game, they don't have the same coloring as their toy figures and the magic moments are the same, but there's an extra burst to the magic moment just as they enter the game.
They have no Wow Pow, since they're based on Series 1.
The 3D elemental backgrounds to their containers are an excellent asset, almost breathtaking really. The cards and Skylander codes are located in the bottom of the case that you need to open in order to get to them.

They share the same coloring as the other figures in-game. Eon's Elite Spyro's claws are still white.

Spyro looks so freaking cool, I hope they'll go on sale here soon enough, when stores realize they cannot sell them at full price. One of the rather few advantages of living in a country where even the corelanders are considered to be too expensive by most of the gamers...

When you reset an elite Skylander, do they reset with their stat boosts and not back to your average every day S1? I obviously presume that they do, but we all know sometimes programmers can every so often overlook the little details like that

How do they register in previous Skylanders games? As in, do they appear as S1s, S2s, or S3s, and do they have their enchanced stats or the stats of the figure the game interprets them as?

In SSA, they're registered as regular Skylanders, in Giants, they were Special S2s, and Swap Force, they were labelled as Special. Their starting stats seem to be differ in other games, since the stats of Eon's Elite Spyro is different in Swap Force as I had discovered. In Swap Force, Eon's Elite Spyro has 430 health, 50 speed, 30 armor, 10 critical hit, and 37 Elemental Power at Level 1, while in Trap Team, he's 840 Max Health, 54 Armor, 70 Speed, 90 Critical Hit, and 60 Elemental Power.

Now that we have confirmation that there is no path switching, anyone have a good list of preferred paths for the eight Eon's Elite figures?
Should be interesting to see the paths that make the best use of the triple power now that there's not really a need to consider PvP.

Wow Pow should stay I'd think, it'd be like using a fully upgraded series 2 to SSA doesn't nix their wow pow. Still kinda sucks the stat boosts don't carry over to the older games, but I digress.

Sorry, I meant the say upgrade paths instead of Wow Pow. Unfortunately no, if you buy a Wow Pow in Giants, it won't move over to Trap Team.
There is no path switching in Trap Team for the Eon's Elite either. Looks like you will have to go to Giants and switch paths there if you want switch paths on your Eon's Elite.

So with the cards even saying "Skylanders Eon's Elite" on the backs, its almost as if Activision is treating these as a separate Skylanders game altogether (minus the actual game of course). Very interesting.

I'll probably buy some of them because I'm an impulse buyer, but I'm not sure I care too much about just the boosted stats or special packaging. I'd rather the pose or color be different in some way as well as the stats, so I didn't feel like I was paying $20 plus for the same figure. It was easy enough to beat all the games on the hardest levels with regular or even weak characters.
Thanks for all the info. though, now I can make an informed decision.
