they didn't return to the temple jackson117 because chances are it was destroyed completely. didn't you hear what hunter told them at the beginning of the game. the floating islands was the temple that malefor had taken over and suspended above the land as a symbol of dominance. after the battle, i think it was destroyed. as for where they are at the end, i think it's avalar. the clouds are the same. that's just a guess though.
