Skylanders is different from other games. It has so much things you can do in it. SWAP Force especially offered so much I think it was a little too much. So, for trap team, will anyone be 100%ing? Also will anyone be getting all their figures maxed out (all upgrades and level 20)? I'd love to hear the responses!

All my 70 skylanders are at level 20 with all upgrades. I got the platinum and unlocked what I can.
I only need the Light/Dark Traps, Mirror of Mistery, Dark and Light Pack + Earth, Tech (I'm going to buy Legendary Jawbreaker tomorrow), Air (I'm waiting Thunderbolt), Magic (I'm waiting Enigma) and Life (I'm waiting Bushwhack) Trap Masters. Oh, I unlocked all the hats from Giants and Swap Force in Trap Team

I miss the fact you could 100% at launch. I hate all of this waiting, because there's no reason to play the game until you can 100% it.

Yeah, in Giants we could 100% at launch. Now we have to wait for Blastermind, Knight Light, and Knight Mare. |

I plan on 100%ing Trap Team, i've done it for the last 3 games.
I've done all there is to do in TT till the Life, Magic, Dark and Light Trap Masters, MoM, tower and museum location pieces and Light and Dark Traps are released here. All the figures i have are fully upgraded and level 20, i even took Tidal Wave Gill Grunt and Sure Shot Shroomy back to Giants and then Swap Force and did their figure quests. Going to do heroics for them both next week. my major disappointment is that there are no figure quests to do in TT.

I'll 100% it, but in terms of collection, I'm leaning towards limiting my skylander buget. My overall gaming collection hadn't had many new additions in a long while, considering i've obtained 178 unique figures in a years time.

228 figures, 26 traps, 24 magic items, 480 games, 19 consoles.... I have a habit. |

Think of it as a reason to keep coming back.

RIP GhostRoaster. He's reanimated as TakeYourLemons but occasionally is resurrected from the beyond when needed. |

Bringing back quests would be fun but it would break the game. A quest for the air element was to kill a certain amount of enemies while flying, and and can't fly. Also the characters wouldn't be able to win 10 battle modes. |

Lightning rod couldn't fly. the quest was just "collect in gold in mid air".
the PVP quest would be a problem, but it could have been replaced with a quest related to Kaos mode.

I see it as a good thing. If you want a game you can 100% beat and put away in a week, then there are many other options out there - I recommend Diablo 3 Ultimate to those that want a fairly similar game (not for the kids though). There is plenty for someone to do in game now (I haven't played it yet, nor will till Christmas, for the record) and it leaves something new and interesting to do when new figures arrive. I remember picking up Dragon's Peak and a game we have been playing for a while suddenly having new life breathed into it as we tried all of our figures in it.
100% is just a number. Would it "feel" better if they only counted things that you had already? In other words, the top end only went up when you used a figure that could access it? I guess I simply don't get the idea of wanting to be "done" so quickly with a game that involves such a high financial investment. Part of the complaints with the first two games was that you could polish it off in a few days and then what else was there to do? Personally, I'd like it if they got rid of the whole 100% thing and made the levels randomized. If you have ever played Diablo, you would know that the levels are always different every time you boot it up. They are made up of a layout that is put together with a large number of "pieces" - the only ones that are guaranteed are the ones related to the story (kind of like putting together a train track). One time you might find a cave to explore, next time nothing at all, or maybe a tower or a shrine. |
