Wasn't sure how to word it.
Tried searching - either my wording was bad, or my Google-Fu has grown weak.
"If you change ownership of a Spyro's Adventure figure to Giants, can you still use it in Spyro's Adventure?" yielded nothing of use.

So anyways... had a question about figure ownership that I hadn't really considered until askedby another.
Let's say I have a "Spyro's Adventure" figure, then change ownership to a game above it (Giants, Swap-Force, Trap Team).
Can that same figure still be used in Spyro's Adventure, despite ownership in a more recent game?

Haven't actually tried yet - might as well (I do have three Cynder's thanks to gifts... Heh), eventually.
Figured I'd ask first, while the console is occupied by another.

I figure the answer is probably "yes" - but then I wonder on account of some hats in more recent games not existing in previous.
If the general answer is yes, then what happens if you have a newer hat in an older game?

Ownership is in terms of the player not the game. So, in my case, my Xbox Live gamertag is set as the owner of my Skylanders. If you mean the collection, adding your Skylanders to the collection of a newer game will not affect the collection of an older game. It will remain in both games.

As to the hats, older hats can be carried into a new game when they are worn by a Skylander, but newer hats cannot go backwards. The Skylander is simply loaded sans hat as there is no code in the older game to generate the newer hat.

I never had a problem with that; SSA never said they were visiting Skylanders, but even if they were you can use them alright. And if you want them to count in your collection, just change ownership to SSA and change it again in Giants, the game never 'forgets' you ever registered a Skylander as far as I know.
