We know that regular cores are...but are Lightcores and Giants?
Since they have some cables and lights....is it dangerous to put them into water?

I must sound like an idiot right now xd

They aren't, I spilled a cup of water on my lightcore chill and it doesn't work anymore.

Indeed, they have exposed components in them and are NOT water tight or water proof.

Do not get them wet.

The RFID chip should survive as that is sealed, but the lightcore part is not.

Ask Skylander Dad, his water rap song involves lots of water.

Whether or not he killed any of the Skylanders during filming of it is beyond me.

Who said they survived?

Might be weeks later the corrosion is enough to kill the light effect.

I'm sure he can chime in here and say, but pretty sure they are fine. TfB Paul has mentioned it on occassion as well.

That being said, I personally would NOT subject a Skytoy to this, but that's just me.

... I hate to subject them to too much dust, much less get them wet. Even if they do survive it most likely will make them ware out faster in the long run.

its made in china for cheap.... so dont dont try get them wet, is my advice.

that skylanders figures is a toys is a bit of misconception. they are actually game pieces and not toys.
but with that said the skylanders game figure could have been made, so they could snap on and off the stand and had movable arms and legs.. but it would cost more and activision ain't into using more money than necessary... they have instead licensed(activision get money instead of using money) it out so we have skylanders megablock as the toy variant...
