We had been playing Trap Team w/ two Wii-remotes w/ nunchucks for the last few days... but this morning the game will only allow us to play with only one player with a remote and the other player has to use the gamepad. It's only Trap Team that's having this issue, and I've tried 3 different Wii-remotes to make sure it wasn't a hardware issue. Anyone else have this issue or any ideas about how to fix it?
Try starting the game without touching the GamePad at all - like, don't turn on the Wii-U with the gamepad, use one of your wii-remotes, navigate the Wii-U's menu with the wii-remotes to start the game, etc. Possibly do all this with your GamePad not even in range of the Wii-U. See if the game then ignores the GamePad as an option and uses the second wii-remote. Also of course make sure your wii remotes are properly paired with the Wii-U (just make sure they both work properly in the Wii-U's menu screen before starting the game).
