Has anyone tested if Pumpkin Eye Brawl will appear in Trap Team as the Pumpkin variant ingame or is it like in Giants and Swap Force (with just the "Special" title but otherwise a regular Eye Brawl)?

I'd be very surprised if it looks different in game, I don't think there's ever been a variant that has switched in that way.

Don't believe there's ever been any intention to have Pumpkin EB show up in game with different art, unfortunately. That said, I have not tried mine on TT yet.

Sadly just comes up as "Special" smilie
Tried him yesterday. This figure could have been soooo cool in this game.

I hope this year we get a true Halloween figure release. Last year we got a good Holiday, Easter and Soccer editions. This year looks like we will get a Valentines Day Pop Fizz. Lets get some Halloween this year. I'd get a orange and black colored/pumpkin, etc version of Short Cut! They could also do a devilish red version of Funny Bone.

Or better yet, Rocky rolling on a Pumpkin version of Roll!!!!

This is where having patches to fix issues as well as putting the proper skins on characters actually would make hunting them down worth it. It wouldn't be that hard to make these special figures appear as they do when they sell them to us.

Could you please try it? There are many of them in the local store for 5€. I already have the regular Eye Brawl so I haven't bought the Pumpkin variant yet because ingame it's the same thing. If it's different in TT I'm probably going to buy it then.

It just comes up as "special" when you load him and doesn't look any different in-game. Beware, if you have more than one special version of a Skylander (Pumpkin Eye Brawl + Purple Metallic Eye Brawl, GITD Fright Rider + Pumpkin Fright Rider, etc.), only one will register on your game in Trap Team even though both would register in Swap Force.

Chase variants don't appear any differently in the game, and for good reason: there has always been a clear distinction between in-game and out-of-game variants. Fans would go nuts if the really rare E3 figures were different in-game, and already crazy aftermarket prices would go through the roof. They got a 'Rare' or 'Special' tag in SSF as consolation ('Special' only in TfB games), but despite how much I want to see the figures in game, I support this practice.

I wouldn't want to see every non in-game variant get this treatment, but only Pumpkin Eye Brawl. That look of the Headless Horseman with the flying eye as a pumpkin would be awesome!

Well I think it's a waste of money if the characters don't look the same in the game as the ones you buy.

It would have been a true treat to fans if they had incorporated Pumpkin Eye Brawl as a variant in this game...it was a major gripe of fans and casual collectors alike in online reviews that he played as regular Eye Brawl in the games. And I agree that a headless horseman-like variant with a flaming pumpkin head would have been simple AMAZING to play in at least one of the games.
