well, once upon a time, i went to target to purchase a reservation card, a family member lost it, and i pre-ordered the dark edition starter pack from gamestop. i found it a little before release. my question is: can i go back to my target to purchase my trap they are reserving for me?
my card states:

the reserved merchandise for this card will be held at the counter in the electronics department for seven days after the national release date, at the target store where purchased.

i really don't want to buy another starter for the PS4.
and i am willing to pay full price. ($6.99)

I was in the same boat. My Target just had a dozen or so of the traps out on the shelf. I was able to pick one up for the standard trap price ($6).

So what exactly is your question? You have your starter. Are you asking how you can get the trap without buying a new starter? If your target doesnt have the exclusive trap for sale, the only suggestion i can give you if u want the free trap is to return your starter and use the money to pick up your pre-order at target.

My target didnt have them available separately. Also we didnt have the next gen dark starters for sale. Our system said it was online only. So its up to you if the trap is worth it

Out of my two Targets one had them for sale on the pegs and the other one (the first one I went to) had nothing out. When I asked about Trap Team one guy went to the back and came back with one game and a few of the special traps and the other guy started pulling gear shifts and about 10 special traps out from under the counter (I would imagine knowing what I know now) that these were probably ones that were set aside for pre orders by an employee that knew what they were doing who obviously had the morning off. They ended up putting them on the shelf and rallied to find me more traps and figures including the Nitro one.

Point is, you can probably just go buy it and if you don't find it, maybe they are actually holding one for you.
