I went to Walmart at midnight they didn't have trap team out yet someone went in and got everything but trap masters so Walmart does not have Trap Masters i got my hands on the trap master at gamestop btw this is my first topic

Er... Walmarts have Trap Masters. Saw it with my own eyes in a store today.

I considered starting this topic as well. Neither of the 2 Walmarts I went to today had any figures or traps.

They do, I bought 2 there today

I went to 3 local walmarts today. One had just the wii game out a couple of days ago. Nothing else Trap related except the signs at the entrance saying they were coming out. I'm sure they have them in the back, but I couldn't handle the frustration of asking any of the employees that know nothing and take forever to not figure anything new out.

I was at my local Walmart this morning, and they were there. However, they were on the stands outside the electronics section, not with the video games, and they were put out over 2 hours after opening, not already out when the store opened.

My local Walmart had trap masters, cores and traps, but they weren't in any hurry to put them out. I asked Saturday if they'd have them out at midnight and was told they didn't have an over-night stocker in electronics. Went at 7am nothing. Went back at 11am nothing. My roommate went tonight at 8pm and they had FINALLY gotten the shelves stocked.

So frustrating.

Even after stocking though they had no single Torch, no triple packs of any time and the only versions of the game they had were Wii (Standard and Dark) and 360 (Standard and Dark). Kinda makes me think they still have stock sitting in the back and are just unaware.

Keep in mind that some stores may make decisions to place the product at other locations. At Target for instance there were more Nitro Krypt King at the checkout than in the electronic section, along with other figures and traps.

Not to mention sometimes coverage is an issue too. As much as folks would like to set those mods, if you're covering 4 departments and layaways and nobody else is coming in, trying to do it all is not viable.

Mine did not have any either, looks like a late shipment to some areas but not others.

Update: I went back to two of the three walmarts I had tried at various times throughout the day. I visited them after midnight (24 hours after launch) the first Walmart had a few of the regular starter sets out and the rest of the shelves were still empty. There was a floor plan for STT taped to the area. I asked the one employee that was stocking the electronics area if she knew anything about it. I explained to her that I had been in a couple of times and that a floor plan was up now so I guess they must be in the back somewhere...she told me that I should come back in the morning because that is when they stock things like that. She said that if it wasn't on her skid, she wouldn't know where to look for it. I told her, in a nice way that I didn't think it would be much help to come back in the morning, because they hadn't got any of it out all day and the guy we asked earlier was too busy to help. Stood there waiting for him for 10 minutes while he messed with a cash drawer (not counting money just fiddling with an empty drawer) after he told us to give him a minute...and we just ended up leaving. She said the department manager would be in tomorrow morning. I gave up again, wondering if the department manager would end up being the Genius that was messing with the cash drawer. The second Walmart must have put theirs out in the evening. It was fully stocked. Large variety, but not much quantity.
I usually don't really get angry or frustrated anymore. I have come to expect this type of service from Walmart. I actually like hearing the different things employees will say when they are lazy, uninformed, or trying to act like they know everything.

I didn't bother going to my local Walmart on launch day even though it was right accross the street from Toys-R-Us. Its a total waste of time as I found out on numerous occasions. The store and its employees are just about sorriest I have ever encountered.

That said, Walmart tends to get the waves in first for W3 onwards. If I go during lunch they never have them stocked, but if I go after work they usually have them out...

I have to admit that Walmart was pretty thin on TT stuff. We grabbed the exclusive TWGG/Mini two pack and that was it. I agree that they will pick up steam with later waves I am sure.

I learned long ago not to waste time with Walmart for new items. The website it sucks too or at least Walmart's stocking does. Plenty of stuff is available on other websites, but the same items aren't available on the Walmart website.

Update: I went back this afternoon and they still have nothing out. A different employee than the other two I had dealt with scanned the tags that are set on the empty pegs and told me that they have some, but that they just aren't out yet..."They usually do that on Tuesdays". I swear the manager of this store has to train employees to never go in the back to look for items.
The other Walmart had an employee that finally came out from the back, after looking for another customers TV that was on lay away for over 20 minutes. I asked him about the empty shelves and told him when the release date was and he actually said "I hadn't heard about that, I'd have to do some research on that one." Then proceeded to help the next person with their question. A lady that had heard our conversation and was waiting also actually offered "You should just go to target they do a good job of getting their new Skylanders stocked". Priceless.

stopped tonight. No Trap team anywhere

My Walmart had them too. They were just not in any hurry to put them out. They started at 10Am or so on Sunday. But they did not have much. Same small size section that they had for Swap Force.

I went to Walmart on Monday afternoon to buy some groceries. They had zero figures and traps out and only 1 copy of the game for WiiU even available. Way to miss out on some sales.

I went to TRU and bought all of wave 2 and the rest of Wave 1. Walmart still has nothing out. I guess there money is made with the high volume discounts they get on products and they just don't really seem to care about the rest of their business (service, employees, employee performance, product movement, merchandising, customer satisfaction...).

Shhh.. you're giving away Walmart's secret to success. ;)
