we got 1501 gems last night around 10pm and decided not to get Flynn

enough people play around here to make short vs long adventures a moot point

But then to wake up with 1520 (or so) gems and Cali on offer (1750) for the next 3 days? at 80ish gems a day, this is totally doable for us, but I find myself wondering what could be around the corner.

We are only interested in Diggs as a "returning" companion, and wouldn't be very excited about Tessa (and NOT RUFUS at all)

this is a real conundrum. More gold is something we could use right now...More gems is something we could use all the time. Cali won't be going away but a returning Diggs would be quite the carrot indeed

Yeah, Diggs is by far the best. The sanctums generate way more cash than adventures anyway, even at 2x.

seriously, it would be nice to know if any more companions were going on offer this month

Well let the fates decide. If you can make enough gems for Cali then buy Cali . 80ish and doable is a very iffy estimate.

We appeared to have averaged a quite a bit more than 80 a day. With 8 hours to go on the Cali sale we have 1830 gems

and still, I just don't know if we "need" her. If Diggs showed up on our doorstep for a one day sale we'd not have the gems to do it for 3 weeks or more.
What with another holiday weekend coming up, and several posters seem to think Halloween would be the perfect time for a companion's return--no one here is convinced

Been busy playing Trap Team, but Snowler Brawl's hut is up for 350 today, maybe tHe alt as well? I have her already so not sure. Expecting a Trap Team influx tomorrow. Buzz and Mags as companions maybe? Also, why was Auric never a companion?

I think the problem with just keeping a "deals" sticky is all the rabbit trails we tend toi go down when we talk about whether to get them (or not) and why and

Not really. We had this discussion already, if you recall. Last year, the update to add Swap Force characters, the sugarbats, etc. was the day after Swap Force's release. I don't expect any different this year, especially since there wasn't much of an update last week. Expect to probably have to do an app store update, today. Updates, even in the US seem to be coming later in the day, so for those of you who are in other countries, don't assume it's not coming if it isn't there by the end of the day for you.
