Heroic Challenges AND/OR Quests?

Anyone read any reviews which clearly indicate whether these things are gone or still part of the game? Read several, with neither being mentioned. From reviews stating several times there is nothing to do with older figures, one gets the impression they are gone. If anyone can point to a definitive answer it would be great! Either way I'll be buying the games, but would love to know to what level I'll be spending extra cash.

The villain quests are not getting positive reviews at all...so really no more customizing older figures....they are essentially done.

So, toys to life has been officially squashed. No Quests for Skylanders anymore?

Two games without HCs....it's dead Jim.

its strange, but this time around i feel they nailed it with the 3ds version... no plastic traps to buy, no need for useless minis and the core is optional... only 7 trap masters to get.... and the game have online skystones.

Had they just included some sort of variant, the 3DS would be a slam dunk!
