When it says Place your Skylander which NEW figure will be the first?

Every first level has that point where it asks you to place your first Skylander on the portal, so I'm just curious what of the new Skylanders will be the one you plan to play with first.

Core? Mini? Trap Master? (One I have forgot?)

I am pretty sure someone has asked something similar to this, but including EVERY Skylander.

I am curious what of the new ones everyone wants to try first.

Snap Shot. I always put the mascot Skylander on first. After that, probably (in order) Food Fight, Nitro Krypt King, and then all the rest after the first level at the Academy.

I like to play as only main characters for the first level, so my first skylander will be snap shot, and throughout that level I will play with snap shot, food fight, sheep creep, and gulper. After that it doesn't matter what I play as. For the first level of SWAP Force I had to break my tradition and use free range for that air gate.

Well, given TfB's propensity to ease up on difficulty, making it more difficult would kinda be the point. And frankly, if the game isn't fun with a character I like, then there's no need to play it. I hope to play the first time through only using SSA characters. I'm going retro.

I'm not even sure I'll be buying traps or a lot of the new guys yet. They've sold me on the starter...not much else. TRU's BOGO/50 might be their only saving grace.

I can respect that. I like doing Old School Play Throughs. Voodood, Boomer, Whammy, Flameslinger, Stealth Elf and Terrafin still kick tons of ass with the best of them.

I'm not overly fond of traps either. This TRU sale has me hooked though. I can get the remaining 6 for $24 so that's not horrible. Well and the Kaos trap. I think it's totally crappy of them to put the Kaos trap behind a pay wall of the Dark Edition to start. I know it will be out later but this is a huge kick bellow the belt. If I want to play as Kaos now I need to pony up and extra $25..../pffff. That's dumb.

And i hope they have nerfed most of the old skylanders to give a real challenge smilie
