Mods, feel free to remove it if it's too offtopic to the section. This doesn't really fit the leaving thread on Stuff and Nonsense since it's a one section thing, so...

It's here guys. Two days and we might know everything. We have footage up to level 12(though not every level) and pictures for every single one in the X1 achievements, the figure information is there already for people to buy... But some can't make it to Day One; maybe they couldn't get the money in time, maybe they live too far from a good store, maybe they're waiting for reviews.
But what matters is, can't stay in this very specific section of DS for a while. Can't expect everyone to spoiler everything that might be interesting, and it's not really a thing you can avoid by staying out of places that are about those spoilers. This thread is here so people can warn they'll be staying elsewhere in the forum, but definately not here.

I think I repeated myself a few times here; game only comes out in 3 months for my country, and preordering from a US store still means I have to wait at least two weeks. And I have plans to make a blind Let's Play of it, too - and can't risk losing the fun of that even if it's not in the release month. So, from today, don't mind if I'm not thread hopping as usual. Have figures to order, stores that sell internationally to find, Ebay listings to hunt for cheap traps.

I'd probably list who's leaving or something below as people post, but that kind of requires coming back to this section, whoops. If anyone wants to do that feel free to try.

I will be ignoring quite a few topics for awhile as I live in the UK and the game comes out about a week after everywhere else

I'm just gonna stop looking on this site between October 2nd and when I brat the game, probably on the 6th (I live in us, so I gotta wait for the 5th to get it)

This, I have no interest in seeing more of the story rather than beating it myself (unless I decide to not even play through, which I haven't)

Yeah, I am going to stick to Toys and Merch mostly to see when stuff is released and post if I find things. That said, I will probably be through the main story (minus a lot of inaccessible stuff of course ) within the first week of release

I don't care about anything to do with the story at all. I'm not leaving at all.

Since the game is coming out this week for Australia, and later the US, then the UK, there are bound to be fans who will outright post spoilers on the forums without warning, like journalists including coinoptv and skykids, or fans who just post spoilers to troll their fellow fans.

I wont be here in the Skylanders sections either. I live in europe and have to wait a good 10 days. Hell no I'm gonna spil the beans on my cake.

You're missing out on a lot then, WBB. Good stories aren't uncommon in games, but under the pile of gritty edgy stuff it's quite hard to get a story for all ages nowadays.
And in case not everyone goes to toys and merch, apparently a store broke street date. Gotta start avoiding this place even sooner than I thought...

I'l be avoid some of the forums until the U.S release.

I understand the story and levels not being a big deal, but there is something to be had for the memorable aspects of it all.

-Renting Diablo on the PSX as a kid, had one of my friends over, playing it in the dark at midnight when the Butcher yells out 'FRESH MEAT!'
-Playing Resident Evil @ 4AM in the dark - solo, having gone through hundreds of doors, when randomly zombies start walking through the door before I go through it.
-FF7, no she really did die at the end of disc 1.

There are numerous others, and while skylanders isn't 'high' on that barometer, there is just something where playing it yourself that 'first time' - feels better (for me) than watching it. I'd loathe watching someone play GTAV before I have, afterwards - it's fine - then it's just gameplay and secrets.

But I want to go through the first time to take it all in, then I'll whore out videos for those one or two soul gems that I can't figure out.

That's kinda where I am, although I may start an inquiry thread or two to get answers. A general "did this game make the grade" as well to get a feeling on how the game is being received.

I beat the game fairly quick so in the days that I haven't beaten it I'll stay away fro the Skylander sections.

Pretty much; Skylanders' big part is the story mode. It's no Journey for simple but hitting hard, or Xeno whatever to be complicated and full of twists and turns, but it's still a blast the first time, sometimes the second and the third as well. And I still remember two years ago when I did the silly thing and spoilered myself for Giants during the Brazil Games Show convention in 2012(it was exactly one week before the game was out,too) - knowing that Kaos freaking beats you to the artifact for once in the endgame and you're simply keeping him from taking it to the rest of the world was an incredible surprise... But waiting 4 months after that(out of money because, surprise surprise, the tickets to the con are expensive) to even touch the game made me feel like I could've enjoyed it tons more if I had waited.
And this time I'll wait, that's for sure.

Not to mention, is it me or no one got a hands-on review, even the big gaming journalism places?
