When I first got Giants I fell in love. I didn't even know why, but I couldn't stop playing. When Swap Force came out, I thought it was cool. I played everything and then stopped. I still play Giants today, but I hardly ever play Swap Force. So my question is: will I fall in love again and play Trap Team constantly? Or will I play the story and quests and call it quits?

What do you guys think?

I think it will have good replayability. One thing will be combos. With Skylanders, there is a pause when you switch so it breaks up the flow. With Skylanders and villains the switching is quick. In a way it could be looked at as one character with a wider moveset. Finding combos and skylanders and villains that work great together sounds like fun and villains could balance out some skylanders, giving them range, melee, and crowd control when they wouldn't normally have it.

IMO, Giants was more FUN, which promotes replayability despite the lack of features. Swap Force had a ton of features, but replayability is hampered by certain features very well publicized here. Score Mode, Time attack etc and the Battle mode with scoring was very fun for me personally. YMMV.

IMO, Trap Team will avoid those pitfalls. It's debatable if there is enough to do other than story mode (the button mashing game and other mini games, Kaos mode and Brock Challenges) and/or despite having 70+ new characters between heros and villains is there enough reason to replay the existing content OVER AND OVER to take advantage of it.

Bottom line, if it's FUN, then it will be a yes, even without a lot of modes. We'll see soon enough. I am in the camp that the content to figure ratio is skewed to the toys, and have been since the beginning and not getting better.

This game will feel more like Giants than Swap Force since TFB is doing it, so yes you will like it.
