No, not really. the people at my local gamestops are nice.

They didn't have Ty 3. Had to buy it from Amazon.

I had to pay $35 for a used copy of FIFA 11.

i could say one thing about TRU though.

My sister was gonna sell them her Just Dance game, and it was only played once. They were only gonna give her like a dollar for it.

Generally speaking, I don't have bad experiences, but there was one incident where the store was pretty much in chaos (lots of people plus two adults screaming at a kid for no damn reason) and the one employee who was there forgot to put one of the used games I bought in its case, and by the time I realized this, they were already closed.

I went back the next day and the same employee was extremely apologetic for the mistake and fixed it immediately.

I should note I didn't really like that particular store, but that employee was nice because unlike the others, he actually did his job and was professional about it. So I can't say I'm mad at him, tbh.

i got a couple games that didn't work before but i think that's about it

The one by work is awesome. The guys there are nice and usually know what they're talking about and will be honest in saying they don't when they don't.

Though the one by my house...... Went there today to try to put money towards a pre-order, the line has you stand one place, yet the employees ignored the line and helped people who walked from the door right up to the counter. Then the one guy who finally got his head out of a drawer and noticed me sounded so bored and uninterested in being there. After that, despite having put money towards pre-orders at different stores before, wouldn't let me do so, claiming I had to at the store it was pre-ordered at.

Meh, never had any bad experiences at a Gamestop. The one I typically go to has an awesome staff. They once helped me look for a DS game they had in stock for about 15 minutes before they finally found it. And unlike the other gamestops I've gone too, these people actually talk with customers about games as well as do their job really well.

The closest I can think of is whenever I only get like $2 for selling 10 games but I think everyone knows they do that.

One day I went to Gamestop, this one was the "cool" one because all the employees were super friendly and helpful. It was one of the top stores in the region.
But this time, all the employees were new soulless husks.
I later heard about some conspiracy from the higher ups that replaced/moved everyone to different stores.

I preordered Spore when it was announced. As you might know, it got delayed a lot so it was a very long wait.
Went to pick it up in the afternoon when it came out.
All the copies were gutted already, because "we didn't think there were preorders."

I was working seasonal at Gamestop.
First day.
Someone asked me if they have any Mario games for the PS2, and why not.

Every other bad experience has to do with my picky self hating gutted "new"/disc-only games.

Yeah, well I was trading in some games, and a guy gave me back one of them and said and I quote "I can't take this, it's worth LESS THEN ONE CENT" I was pretty pissed, how can any game that works be worth less then one cent?

Had to order in Pokémon Soul silver waited for 3 months then I got it and put it in the Nintendo 3ds and it read Danny Phantom something or rather and then it didn't work so we returned it to the store and they said it's fake.

Thank god mum was there when the manger started to get more of an attitude and as soon as mum ripped into him he gave back the money.

Never had any, the GameStop employees actually know me because I am a really good customer, except one time when they sold me an xbox game that had a wii disc inside, but I got a real one a few minutes later

When they asked me why I wanted to buy Pokemon and not COD.

I still haven't been refunded around $50 to my giftcard after the balance being on hold for around 5 days. Customer Service won't do **** other than tell me the request to remove the hold was already submitted.

I had a good experince today where me and my mom got 2 free cores when we got our dark editions even though they didn't ring up free, and then they gave them to us and told us when a found a couple of gearshifts that the next time they will be there is in 2015.
