Yeah how does that work? If it stole her life story, then her sister (or her) should have ice magic.

This woman is seriously trying to sue Disney for "stealing" her life story? Wow... This is one of the most nonsensical legal cases I've heard about. But I'm sure it was coincidence that they have a similar theme/idea.

I can survive scalding hot coffee and being whipped for 24 hours a day. Digestive biscuits or riot.

I'm going to sue Dreamworks for $100 million because Shrek stole my life story. I'm totally an ogre who went on an adventure with a talking donkey.

Shows in the credits of nearly every movie nowadays; Frozen probably isn't an exception.

Lawsuit over.

Let's see her ice castle. And I want interviews from all the people who lived in the kingdom she temporarily froze.

Rather than looking at it at face-value of a girl with magic ice powers and talking snowmen, the girl might be seeing some form of representation of it in which it retains the same base plot with small things changed to make it more magical. Of course this would still mean the girl is crazy and likely grasping for straws.

I once read an article where a woman claimed that Frozen was a metaphor for homosexuality and was Disney pushing the gay agenda on us, attempting to boycott the movie. While the nonsense she babbled did make relative sense (as if anyone babbles about nothing long enough it's bound to eventually), I still figured she was just another crazy bigot.

People will see all sorts of things and find hidden meanings that aren't even actually present.

^Seiki's got it right. I'm sure at some point everyone here has watched a movie, listened to a song, or played a game and drew a comparison between a character and ourselves. It's very likely to imagine that someone out there sees Frozen as a similar story (metaphorically) to theirs, and that is kind of the point. Disney doesn't make these things just to entertain; they'd also like to teach a lesson and make the characters relatable.

Obviously this lady is incorrect in assuming that they ripped her novel off in both a literal (talking snowmen, ice queen) and figurative (metaphors, characterization) context. However:

Quote:
Conquering personal insecurities led to exploring the reaches of her intellect while facing the tragic, and untimely death of her beloved sister

This is something that both the film and her book have in common, if that book description is accurate. Of course, this sort of characterization is common in media and is not worth $250 million and she will lose the case immediately.
