I emailed Smyths with some questions on Trap Team. They were:

Will the character "Gearshift" be available at launch?

Will the "Kaos Trap" be available at launch?

Will there be any Smyths exclusive character/packs?

I will assume it doesn't matter what version of Trap Team you pre-order. Pre-ordering the dark edition of the game will get you the same bonuses. Would this be correct?

Yes, Gearshift is available to purchase on day one.

The Kaos trap is only in the Dark Edition of the game.

Gear Shift is exclusive to Smyths

Yes preordering either set will get you a free Skylanders Giants Battle Pack and a free trap with Riot Shield Shredder villain inside

I hope this clears up any confusion going around. Riot Shield Shredder is a pre-order bonus at Smyths. It doesn't seem to be appearing anywhere in the US though.
The free Giants battle pack is chosen at RANDOM. You have no choice.
Gearshift is a Smyths exclusive (on Day 1 it is anyway). They didn't say anything about having to pre-order.
The Kaos Trap single will NOT be available day one in UK. They acted as if the Kaos Trap single doesn't even exist but we know it does and will almost certainty come to UK as some point.

Thanks, at least I know I have to pay for Gearshift now.

I wouldn't be surprised if they turn it on its head in a few days though...

Just got the smiths catalog in he post. Nothing about any of the above in it. Just shows the wave 1 stuff we know. No mention of gearshift whatsoever. Of course, all the above may only have been agreed after printing.

As i said on the best pre-order bonus post if you pre-ordered the starter pack from smyths online between the 6th and the 15th they should give you a free gearshift, as thats how it was advertised if they dont then well....sparks will fly i was told il get a free gearshift along with others who asked what was going on.
