I think I found the Magic Doom Raider

Pain-Yatta is one of the regular Magic villains.

They might have changed their minds......

They changed their minds on the Frito-Lay Skylanders as at one stage it was just going to be one Skylanders that won

The poster already revealed Pain-Yatta is one of the regular villains.

And Pain-Yatta is revealed in that poster both complete and in-complete, he can't be both a regular villain and a Doom Raider.

You can consider Kaos as the Magic one, since I don't believe his Element will have any other villain, besides him.

There were also multiple Painyattas attacking in one of SkylanderDad's Kaos mode videos. There's only one of each doom raider.

How are we so certain that there won't be a Magic Doom Raider?

Because the two unknown guys seem to tend towards being the Light and Dark raiders, and Kaos makes use of summoning and illusions not unlike normal Magic 'landers.

I'm still pretty sure there could be a magic doom raider. It just won't be Painyatta.

That, and because they already shown the Magic villains collection screen and there were only three bad guys (Bomb Shell, Rage Mage and Painyatta).

Mesmerelda doesn't have a character or explanation to be around, let alone an element. Even Count Moneybone returning has a bigger chance of happening.

Right, right, 'cause Mesmerelda's as bland as a saltless cracker (#sarcasm). And do any of the villains they've revealed have an explanation to be around either? Who's to stop them from saying the Skylanders locked her up in Cloudcracker after Swap Force?

Doom Raiders all have a VERY good reason to have been put there. If they didn't arrest the Chompy Mage for terrorizing Facadeville in Giants but did after he started using species-changing spells, then just attempting to kidnap someone might not be enough for Mesmerelda to end up there. And she IS as bland as a saltless cracker - wow she plays with magic puppets, wow she makes a music clip, wow she talks in theatre puns... Where's her personality, where's her reason to join Kaos' mom, to be evil in the first place, and what she even is?

Wolfgang can cause incredible pain if he plays on a note only he knows, Gulper seems to be because of his affiliation with the Golden Queen, Pepperjack threatened to level entire cities if he didn't get paid. 1. Even if that someone she kidnaps is an ancient elemental being with great power that was planned to be evilized? Also, the only other time in Giants we see the Chompy Mage after the Willikin Village level is in the credits, so who's to say he didn't go back to Cloudcracker Prison afterwards? After all, they did say Trap Team was being planned around the time they were working on Giants.
2. That's her theme. No different then how Pepper Jack is chef-themed or how Golden Queen is Egyptian-themed.
3. You do know the villains in Trap Team are going to have bios, right?
I'm not saying Mesmerelda's going to be a villain in the game. I'm just saying I'd like her to be.

At least we know Wolfgang is a human-turned-werewolf, Pepperjack is a humanoid pepper, Golden Queen is an animated gold statue.

1. But if Mesmerelda were to be a villain in the game, I think she would be a Doom Raider (again, IF).
2. And where exactly was Chompy Mage arrested to?
3. Because nobody ever escapes from prison.
4. Okay, so she may not have the best personality of any other villain, but we also didn't know why the Chompy Mage was attacking the village until they explained why later. So why can't they do the same thing for her?
5. What does her species have to do with any of this?

And again, I'm not saying that Mesmerelda is going to be a trappable villain. I'm just saying that I personally like her and would like to play as her. And if you don't like her or just don't want to see her in the game then that's fine, I'll respect your opinion as long as you respect mine.

Chompy Mage's first dialogue is to estabilish he's a huge jerk. Mesmerelda's first dialogue is to sing about her powers.

I mean that if we can't even estabilish a SPECIES which is one or two words, how can you expect TFB to get VV's character and give it proper personality. I'd be awesome if they did but I don't think they'll try that over creating new ones.

VV didn't ask them about the canon, the character designs, or even simple stuff like 'hey did you ever explain if a PM can go inside his own portal'. Dunno if TFB would want anything to do with their content aside from small mentions after that.

It looks like the third game will always be considered to exist in an alternative universe.
Kind of like the "Black Sheep" of Skylanders (not necessarily in a bad way, tough).

Or like the 3DS games - it happened, but no one cares about when or how it impacts the canon aside from small stuff which don't need a timeline.

If what TFB says is true, how does Flynn still know Tessa? How was the Swap Force discovered and awakened on Earth, and how did they get their swap abilities? Eon might as well say, "Welcome to Skylands! A place full of wonder, excitement, and PLOTHOLES!" I like to think of Trap Team taking place at least several years to a decade from Swap Force, or just an undetermined long amount of time that was enough for Kaos and Glumshanks to figure out how to become unswapped; or maybe the blast from the volcano re-swapped them or something, I don't know.

Well, SSA and Giants a pretty much confirmed to be a year from each other, so for all we know it's IRL time. But one year is enough for them to figure out how to unswap and stay that way - or Kaos could reverse the spell somehow because he probably has enough stolen books about this kind of stuff. What matter is that we don't need to see the uncanny valley-ness of Kaos with huge legs or Glumshanks with the bottom of a robe for another cutscene.
