Someone i know told me that wave 2 trap masters are gonna be out at gamestop day 1 ...is that true?

Wallop, Wildfire, Gearshift, Gusto and Krypt King will be available for Wave 1, including the Starter Pack Snap Shot.

The only Trap Master we can get early is Gearshift through pre-ordering. Other than her we just have to wait.

Someone has claimed that the Wave 2 Trap Masters are available to preorder at GameStop, but they aren't available on Day 1.

Oh, I misread that as Wave 1, so many users kept asking that over and over.

I've heard from other users that they've been able to pre-order the Wave 2 Trap Masters (Bushwhack, Head Rush, and Lob Star) in stores at GameStop for a 10/12 release date. They're not on the website yet, and I haven't gone into my own local GS to confirm it yet. I'll post on here to let you know what I find as soon as I do.

If they're available on Day 1, they would be wave 1, by definition.

Technically no. They would have limited quantities of Wave 2 over 1. This happens yearly with Wave 3 and 4.

Not true either. Eon's Elite are exclusive to gamestop, at least as far as Spyro preorder. Technically though, that's neither wave 1 or a trap team release.

I reserved only Lob Star just in case the others come out in other places in some way, but my Gamestop says it's til October 12. I just wanna know who is the mystery Trap Master. My theory it's either Kaboom or Blastermind since we have at least seen in hand toy forms of those two, but I still have hopes that it's Short Cut while that is very unlikely.

When I pre ordered all my figures the clerk told me those are just standard codes in the system as a general sku. As in all trap masters are 15.99. And then there are all the individual slush as well for each different character.

That list doesn't have the skus for the two triple pack of core figures, or the Nightmare Express Adventure Pack.

I already have the Adventure Pack pre-ordered (I think it shows up as AP Nightmare), but does anyone know if the core triple packs can be reserved?

Those are probably the general SKUs. Generally, you cannot order Skylanders from Activision individually. You buy an assorted box with 12 (trap masters, cores, and minis), 6 (adventure packs and triple packs), or some other number (like traps, which come 24 per box). The assortment is determined by the wave. Each type of box assortment has its own SKU/UPC code.

Keep in mind that Activision often makes deals with the major retailers to allow each retailer to sell a limtied run of certain figures BEFORE the next wave start. If Game Stop is able to release those figures on 10/12, it is possible that "Wave 2" (when the other retailers start getting and selling the figures" won't happen for several weeks after that.

Keep in mind that with Swap Force, Activision had 2 waves before Christmas and 3 waves after. I suspect that we will see a similar pattern with Trap Team. If that is the case, we will probably see Wave 2 sometime in November.

I do remember that being before Christmas, but I believe that was TRU having the deal to put them out early. I don't think everyone else got them until after Christmas.

Speaking of, is Gearshift still up for pre-order?

Maybe, but I'm pretty sure that they started having individual SKUs. I could be wrong, though.

At Gamestop, they use their own system to give each individual Skylander toy/package their own SKU. So even if all the Wave 1 core figures have the same bar codes, each individual Skylander toy/package is given their own unique Gamestop sticker with an individual SKU for that character/package.

My local Gamestop store has all of Wave 1 available for pre-order EXCEPT for the Traps (single and triple packs - they call them "gems"). Each character is available for pre-order, even the core triple packs and minis double packs. Plus the three Wave 2 Trap Masters (Lob Star, Bushwhack and Headrush) for release on 10/12 and Elite Spyro for 11/1.
