So, i managed to get into a school that i thought would be less than same stuff i went trough with 9th grade. ****ing no. In fact, more formulas and outright impossible to remember numbers. The laboratory apparently isn't for me then. Nice to know after spending +200€ on equipment and other stuff. Slighty pissed off but thought that telling it makes others avoid the mistake i made. If you hate the crap you go trough in elementary/high school? Don't ****ing think about a career in chemistry.
This might just be my school tho.

Wow man. I don't mean to be rude to a friend, but I seriously can't feel very sorry for you right now.
I mean, you somehow thought that chemistry would actually get simpler after 9th grade? If you really want to be a chemist, get good at it. Don't quit because it feels hard at first, have some persistence. If you want to spend your time searching for a fulfilling career that doesn't require effort, then have fun searching forever. |

Yeeaahh, chemistry isn't easy, and as you progress with your schooling, it's only going to get harder. But if you're really passionate about it, you shouldn't give up.

I'm going through chemistry as of this year, (11 grade), so yeah, it's not at all simple, don't give up though, you'll understand it eventually.

Has it only been a few weeks? If so it's way too early for you to be making this judgement and you should probably spend at least another month or so adjusting and catching up before you really start questioning your choice in major.
But if you really feel as though chemistry is not for you, then switch majors. Something else in the scientific field is bound to appeal to you while still using the information you already learned, making the transition easier. |
