Because some times they'll look huge on them. Like Spyro and the purple Fedora (My favorite hat on my favorite Skylander)

If I remember correctly, some hats I tried to put on hot dog covered his entire body!

I put a motorbike helmet on Fright Rider, it cover his and his ostrich's head while entering the game and in their magical moment
