Seems there is à problem after upgraden to iOS 8
Can't download new content.
Back in time to the fire appriciation month
Timed goals goals for magic are gone.
There is à glitch with à thing that keeps giving Endless money.
Anybody else experiencing problems?

Yes, same here. My recent upgraded Magic Sanctum disappeared n i've no idea how to get it back. Plus now it's taking a very very long time to load the game. It says on the top left screen that it is busy with loading contents. Pffff....looks more like it's taking away contents.

Oh nooooo, my Fff fire alter ego's house is missing in action too.

I lost my magic sanctuary as well. Not happy. Hopefully this gets fixed.

Ok, i thank you for sharing this.. I'll just hold the upgrade for now until someone here confirms that their LI loads fine after upgrading to ios 8..

I just upgraded and found this thread. I won't open the game until this is reported as fixed.

Maybe you should try to run LI on you iWatch /AppleWatch now ;-)

Sorry could not resist .. because i am glad that androids version shows no errors right now and that not too often.

I updated to iOS 8, but didn't try opening the game until this morning. It gave me an error that I wasn't online and needed to download new content. I won't be able to be online until later today. I wonder if there's been an update overnight to fix the problem. Now I'm concerned about opening it altogether.

Same situation here. Updated to iOS 8 yesterday. Last night tried to play LI, but the flash screen stayed there and it said it was downloading new content, but stayed at 0.0%. Eventually just shut it down. This morning, it loaded, but with no MSS, no Masgic Sanctum and no FFF house. Not sure whether this is an issue with iOS or with an LI update for iOS, but either way, I'm NOT HAPPY!!

edit: Also missing my Fire Link Tower, although it's popping out gold like it's candy.

Same here. Contacted ATVIassist about it. If More of us do, the maybe they will fix it faster!

NEVER download the iOS update the day it comes out!! I always wait at least a week for them to put out the first patch to fix all the bus that pop up. LOL

Great. Now I couldn't complete my Magic Sanctuary quest in time. About 4 days left. Perhaps I shouldn't have updated my iPad...

Glad I backed up my iPod before I updated. At least I can revert if it doesn't get sorted out quickly. Just a pain - everything else seems to be fine so I think it's just a Lost Islands problem.

Good tip about waiting for at least a week before attempting any update. Lesson learned.

In my limited experience with Apple, as has always been the case with Microsoft, when they update their OS in a major way it causes compatibility problems with third party software... Apple is the new Microsoft.

On the plus side, I did get 225 extra gems from the toy link quests queuing again! Yeah LI was the only app that gave me issues as well... I usually wait to update in general, but didn't this time in an obvious oversight

At worst I think they'd give us 1200 gems for the sanctum and 350 for FFF's hut. I'll buy the sanctum when they release them all at the end of the month again, and FFF's hut will probably come up for sale in a promo soon.

Just tried to login to Acivision Support and it's kicking me out saying an unexpected error occurred (rather than the expected one, I guess). Probably not a good sign...

There usually aren't big problems with iOS updates. The problem is usually the apps as developers didn't test well enough. The problem I've seen with Lost Islands and others like it is that they may test it, but since they update a lot, one of the updates misses the rest and all goes awry. I doubt it's an Apple problem, but an Activision problem. At least it's not as many problems as Android has.

Yeah, the issue seems to stem from downloading data within the app rather than doing app updates. This caused issues for people during the merger as well I think.

There are many posts about the bug, and ATVIassist has responded on reddit and Twitter, so hopefully restitution won't be long in coming.

As to the OS wars, I have done Android version updates on my phone the break things just as easily...

I've lost my magic sanctuary, my magic toy link tower and flip flop fryno's hut. On the plus side, I just won autumn stump smash in the well and where my toy link tower was is an endless supply of 3xgems, cant help it if I collect them a few (hundred) times

FFF Hut is gone, I was two Orville collections away from the upgraded magic sanctuary and all the requirements have reverted back to zero, lost mystic star strike for a while but came back when I switched to my non updated phone, also getting a never ending coin which gives me 3000 every time I press it (that would have come in handy when I first started playing).

Part of me wants to play just for a chance to get the unlimited gems . Then again, I'm not in a desperate need for them. It would just be fun to do. Sadly, my internet has been disconnected at home, so I can't even get past the loading screen anyway. Probably a good thing. I wouldn't be tempted to take my chances. Though no one is giving a good report so I highly doubt mine would work.

I haven't seen the magic toy link tower yet. Hope someone posts when IOS 8 is safe to work with Lost Islands.

As far as I know, the magic you link tower wasn't available, yet. It usually comes in the next update after the sanctum quest is over. I'm assuming they meant their fire toy link tower.

Sadly, with it being the weekend, I don't expect to see a fix until, at least, Monday. It might be best, too. If they fixed it, now, I wouldn't doubt that the Monday update would break it, again, as it's probably ready to go. And since they didn't seem to test LI with iOS 8, I doubt they tested the coming update. So releasing it would revert whatever fixes they made. I believe this happened before, too. Maybe when iOS 7 came out.

I think someone went back to the future. But this seems minor since the tower should be in the store on Monday, and will result in a small loss of 25 gems. They might even gain gems if the quests show up again.

I'm not sure if time travel would have gotten it for them as the toy link tower would be programmed in that update and not before. So it's not even programmed in the game.

I have time traveled in the past but haven't for several months. I don't think this issue has anything to do with that. Now that I only have 2 days to get back 12 days worth of my magic timed quest back, I will definitely be going back in time again.

I am talking about forward time travel, but @obidawsn may be right about the content update not even existing yet that puts it in the game. It is possible though that it was already there and just not in the shop yet.

Nope. I've never TT'd and it's all messed up. Definitely an IOS8 thing. Other games like TSTO seem fine with it. I hope Acti gets their act together soon on this... Their support pages are littered with angry users.

The only respond I got was that they were working on it.. But not a response that I was hoping for..

No response. If previous history is an indicator of future (lack of) success it will be a month or so for them to resolve the problem. It was about this time last year that the cloud save bug impacted a large number of people and that took them multiple months to fix my game. At this point I'm considering deleting the game. I don't plan on buying the next console release.

I wonder if they will delay the toy link tower because of this. Or are other people getting access to the magic toy link tower already and I'm just not. I keep reading posts that make me think people got and then lost their magic toy link towers...

5 games. Old OS on all devices. No toy link tower for magic.

Is it worth updating for the extra gems?

As far as I know, nobody has received the Magic Toy Link tower. What we lost was the Fire Link tower and the Magic Sanctum/Sanctuary (depending on whether the quest was completed). Still waiting for a fix.

I thought I had the toy link tower. I can't remember if it was there or not. I might have been mistaken by it. I was current with everything in game up to the IOS 8 release.

There hasn't been a magic toy link tower. Someone said that, and as I assumed, they were meaning the fire toy link tower (which they eventually confirmed). The toy link tower would probably come in with this week's update, which should be today. However, if they are working on a fix for iOS 8, I would hope they are incorporating this week's update with it. As I said before, I wouldn't put it past them to release a fix for iOS8, then release this week's update that wasn't tested with iOS8, only for it to break it again. We'll see, I guess.

I will say this, though. This isn't the same as the cloud issue from last year. That was only affecting certain people and not everyone on a particular OS version. It was much harder for them to track the issue down. I'm sure it was also a lot more work to go through and sort out every individual account. If the cloud save was corrupt, they probably had to go through an old backup and look for each individual save. That's if they could even find it. I do believe there was a similar issue like this, though, when iOS7 was released. Since it's happening with everyone, it's just a matter of figuring out why their code isn't compatible and fixing it and releasing an update. The cloud save issue was an entirely different and more complicated issue.

late Monday afternoon over here...Haven't updated to iOS 8, and have continually refreshed LI--no toy link tower available. In fact, there doesn't appear to be a Monday update at all--probably scrambling to fix the update glitches.

It just updated for me, 5:52pm EST here. Magic Link Toy Tower is in, as well as Sanctum timed quest.

Back to normal.. Updated, bought the magic tower.. 1200 gems well spend it think..
