How do Trap Masters work?

Do they work like Giants with specific areas for them? Or do you need like one of each element for each area or something?

Trap Masters have special Traptanium weapons that can be used to break apart Traptanium clusters, and also deal more damage against the villains that you can trap. Also, they get they're own Elemental Gates.

One of each Element for each area.

Normal Elemental Gates have been replaced with Traptanium ones that only Trap Masters can unlock.

And only the Trap Masters can destroy Traptanium crystal clusters that can reveal some hidden areas.

OK...so for example to trap a villain in a tech area...

Would you need a tech trap and a tech trap master?

If by "tech area" you mean an area locked by a tech elemental gate, you'll need a tech trap master only to unlock that area. Anyone can trap the villain, regardless of which element is stronger in the area.

You didn't specify that the villain is a tech-elemental villain, but assuming that's what you meant, you will need a tech trap to play as the villain, but you can still send it to the vault if you don't have a tech trap.

Skylanders Academy Season 2 was an improvement.
I don't know what to think of Skylanders' future.

You may actually need more 8 skylanders as who knows whether there are one or two new elements.

If you want to trap bralwrus a tech element villain, you could trap him with Enigma as long as you have a tech trap (Enigma is magic).
