Hey guys, sorry if this has been answered but I did a search and couldn't really find it. I REALLY want the Dark Edition for this game. Love the dark versions of all the characters and the Kaos trap. Just curious if we have had any confirmation on if this is going to be available in most brick & mortar stores, or just Gamestop? The reason I ask is because I bought a pre-order card for Target so I could get the exclusive trap + character, but I also want the dark characters... So, will I be able to walk into Target and buy a Dark Edition on day one? Or am I going to have to buy the regular edition at Target AND get the Dark Edition online if I want both things? It really wouldn't be the worst thing in the world cause I could get one for PS4 and one for WiiU, but this would make it a lot easier!

As far as ive heard the dark editions are online only. Now i am not 100 certain of this as i seem it would be silly. As for the target trap thing. You could pickup your target order and just return the game. U will just lose the cost of the trap whatever that may be. I did this when i first got disney infinity last year as i decided I didnt want it at the time but i kept the figure which cost me the full price . (in other words the trap will cost whatever traps cost BUT the game will be what is reduced in price when returned, if that makes sense)

I have not seen any in store pre-orders for the dark edition, but I've seen nothing suggesting that it's not going to be available in stores. In fact, the toys r us website says that it will be available in stores.

I was considering that idea, wasn't sure if it would work but I guess I have no reason to think it wouldn't work. Maybe I'll do that anyways.

I too wondered this, and since I work at at a Target store I emailed "the higher ups" and asked- I was told we will have them in store on launch day. So, at least at Target, you will be able to buy the Dark edition

The target reserve card wont work towards the Dark Edition but if you return it, you can keep the free trap, and then buy the dark edition if they have it in stock
The only place you can reserve the dark edition for in store pickup is Gamestop
But you must do it in store you cant do it online

So what exactly are you trying to say, that we can return the Reservation card or the regular Starter Pack in order to get a free Trap?

Thats not true i work for wal-mart and we have a pick up list already for the dark edition, people that preorder. they will be in the store oct 5 supposedly but knowing our delivery service they will most likely be a day or 2 late.

I'm guessing I could talk my way into it... Or just pay for the regular edition in electronics and then swap it out for the dark edition at the service desk. I did that with the free Lightcore Hex, swapped it for a Lightcore Flashwing.

I got a standard pre-order from Target yesterday because I want the free trap. I am crossing my fingers that I can convince whoever is working to let me get the dark and the free trap.
