Krypt King looked pretty cool as he was, but I also really like this Nitro version. Since I like getting the variants, I might have to consider this one over the regular.

I don't know what to think about him. The variant doesn't really fit to him and he doesn't have enough details, I wish the deatails on his headgown had a color, but I'm still gonna buy it

Heh, not sure why a lumbering undead character would be a speed demon, but he does look pretty cool. Made sense for Freeze Blade and Magna Charge. I guess it had to be a Trap Master though. Any votes on another Nitro one? Head Rush might be a good fit.

I don't know why, but a Nitro Gearshift or Nitro Lob Star would be amusing.

Yeah Nitro Gearshift would actually work well I think - especially because that has more of a 'racing' feel. Also, it is annoying that you can't modify orders. I had to redo my pre-order for the standard edition with Outlaw B+C and add Nitro. I wasn't going to pay extra shipping for just one figure...

Gold looks incredibly good on Skylanders for some reason; I think the Nitro gold is a bit lighter than the one that Legendary uses.
Krypt King looks like a character that could be really neat with different variants.

And sadly, none of the Swap Force Nitro had stat changes...heck even the legendaries are the same stat wise. Of course, SSA and SG legendaries did have stat changes. Maybe TfB pays attention to this small detail.

It may sound sarcastic, but that is pretty much it. Other than with Legendary you have to pay TRU's Skylander premium.

Since I like Undead Skylanders more than any other from different elements, I'm definitely getting him and his original version.

Just missed the spot for me,which is a good thing because he's still my favorite Trap Master. The racing flags just don't fit him at all,though the greenish-yellow texture is quite nice. This would fit other landers a lot more though, like Gearshift that was already mentioned and Trailblazer.

I thought Nitros were only for Skylanders with speed qualities.

You shouldn't be surprised that people have different opinions. The quality of the design isn't bad, it's just that for most this doesn't fit Krypt King(specially the flags).

That's 100% Pure Evil. So that's probably the answer.

The flags fit actual speed characters. Nitro Magna Charge actually looks pretty good with those, but that's because he's a fast robot with speed powers. Not a living suit of armor whose entire strategy is standing in place while his soul beats up stuff.

Also, GR, think you've been mixing up EA with Activision for a while now. Acti is 10% worth saving, 40% mean, 50% greedy. EA is the only one that you can truly call 100% evil.

But Krypt King isn't the speedy kind of character.

Don't know about that. I don't play sports games.

EA doesn't do only sports games. They also like to kill whatever franchise they can get their hands on with microtransactions and weird choices. Dungeon Keeper's new installment for example,or when Spore was hyped for being the next step up from The Sims and then turned out to be a step backwards. At least Acti learns from their mistakes every now and then or at least keeps the greed to DLCs.

But back in topic, who knows,maybe the Nitro stat changes actually make Krypt King faster. But also probably horribly OP.

While I mostly avoid talking about variants, since I don't care about them at all, I must say that this variant looks not only quite bland and unworthy, but also illogical.

As Aura24, Bifrost and many other said, a "Nitro" variant doesn't absolutely fits a slow and tough character like Krypt King.
Nitro Tread Head would have been perfect, but a "Nitro ancient egyptian-like giant sword wielding skeleton"...?

NOT MORE NITROS! Don't get me wrong, they're cool and all but Targets in Canada have horrible stock! I cannot even get Nitro Freeze Blade!

My opinion: Ugly as hell (especially on the screenshot), Nitro doesn't fit for Krypt King and most important - they are lacking new ideas. Dark Edition, Legendary, Nitro. Really? I'd like some new designs, a cool new series of figures and not the rehashed stuff from last year. We already have the black/golden Legendary series, who needs more golden figures?

My idea: Nitro Wildfire!!!

Jade seems tougher. Not element-specific so far, and there have been a Swapper and a core. Jade Rocky Roll would be cool though, with a big jade rock!

I think Jade Fire Kraken was created only because there are ancient jade made dragon statues and sculpts, in the chinese culture.

How about a Jade Fling Kong?
It would still keep the general oriental theme of those variants, except for Flashwing, which is an Earth related character.
