Looks like the Labor Day promotion is happening this weekend. I guess the developers missed their deadline for last week.

Rufus is on sale for 2000 gems and alter egos are in the well. Didn't check what's going on beyond Friday but be sure to tune in this weekend as it looks like the normal holiday promos seem to have been pushed out a week.

I wonder if this was a reaction to the griping folks expressed here (and probably elsewhere) that there wasn't a holiday promotion.

Nice. Glad I held off on getting him when he first came out. Hopefully I can finally snag Autumn Stump Smash and Skeletal Cynder as well.

I'm not sure how I feel about it. It seems like a bit of a kick in the teeth to those players who are struggling to get their game back after the maintenance. If this forum is any indication, there are a lot of people struggling with issues right now - not being able to reset passwords, not being able to get updates, progress lost once they do login, and so on. Having a special weekend so quickly, before these issues can be ironed out and as many people as possible get their games back in playing condition seems almost mean-sprited.

and kind of a kick to me too. I'm not having problems with the update, but I am not going to benefit from this promo.

I had 462 wish stones on September 1. I actually started after midnight on Sunday/Monday and spun just over 50 times and got MSS. Then spun for new skylanders (and got legendary Chill and Zoo Lou)

We only had 4 legendary halls and that put us up to 10 legendary figures. Thinking that with no labor day promos and a full month to go for the next alt ego--we bought 2 halls. 4 days in, even with extra totems on Tuesday--we only have 160 stones. I doubt that with get ANY alts from the well. >pout<

I saved the Aug alt for the end of Aug expecting possible alts in the well and the holiday weekend would mean I could throw in for Flip Flop Fryno and then again during the weekend for Mystic Star Strike. I still have like 3,000 stones, but still sucks on the timing.

can anyone see the alter egos they are offering in the top prizes in the well? i dont see any. (maybe because i have all the ones they are offering this weekend)

Doubt it's started yet, I don't have any showing up and I only have the last three alter egos.

On the wishing well subject, I got a tavern and Crusher's house on back to back stones this am... Nice now I have to get crusher though lol

I like the Alts being available, only started playing recently so gives me a chance to get some cool ones I missed

I don't see them in the well either as top prizes. I'm only missing Autumn Stump Smash and Surfer Slam Bam, but neither appear in the list. I guess I'll hold off a bit and see if anything changes or someone reports them being there.

I did see the splash screen and it says it is "here", but still leery of dumping in stones until we see confirmation. Oh, and Rufus is today only, maybe they have others up for Saturday or Sunday.

I didn't see any alt's only a few houses (for alt's that I don't even have).

I threw in ~650 stones and of the top prizes I got:

4 - Blossom Trees
4 - Bed & Breakfasts

Since others were asking as well, can you only win the alt's if they show up in the "Top Prizes" ticker?

Haven't seen any either in the prize list. If anyone gets an alt this weekend, hopefully they'll share to give the rest of us hope

Alts are in the well now (12:45pm est). Of course, being affected by the merger errors I am unable to see them on my account, but they are there for my son & wifes.

Nice. Yeah, I threw in some this morning before they were in the prize list but it did seem like the chance to win top prizes was a lot higher in anticipation.

After about 1,110 stones, got Surfer Slam Bam. And they are now showing up in the Top Prize list. Had a bit of a scare after winning him, I couldn't connect to Activate. After log out and back in and several errors including coming up in "new island" mode, finally made it with Surfer intact. Whew.

Wow, 1,100? Was he the only alt left that you didn't have? I had about 4,000 wish stones but used most of them to buy Hall of Legends so only have about 1,600 now.

I envy you guys. Surfer slam is the only missing skylander for me. Started spinning at 5151 wish stones then i stopped with 4000 remaining and still didn't get him.

Seems not all of the alts are in the well - based on 144 being the maximum, I think at least two are missing (I'm on 129 and see 13 in the well).

Buttered Pop Thorn is definitely missing, not sure what the other one is. I'm sure someone who has been playing longer can spot it quickly.

For the new player. Most people who have played a while are maxed out on shrines and have extra ones on top of the 3 from the sanctum quests. I have 5 fire shrines for example.

we actually had almost 1600 gems two weeks ago, but made the mistake (?) of picking up 2 dark houses at that killer sale price--since they weren't going to do a labor day promo

Well for me it was a mistake . I expected a much better gem payout. Its way below average even for a theoretical 25 % chance . I think its 10 percent for gems and 30 percent for energy/ money / XP

Although the extra energy and gold is balancing out my expenses rather well .

It was a joint decision to get the dark houses, but we would barely have been able to get Diggs even if we had waited. 80 gems a day (includes 1-4 gem payouts a day from the dark houses) for 4 days does not get the 475 we would have needed

Day 2 in the well wasn't as good as my first day. Threw 1000 stones in and no alter ego. I don't have many more left. I wonder if its programmed to only give 1 alt. did anyone get two this weekend

Rufus won't increase your gem production, but those dark houses will, despite occasional runs of bad luck. I think you made the better buy.

My little brothers "My Little Pony" kingdom game which he has tapped every day for 2 years went BOOM!!! He was so upset he told me to spend the gems on whatever i liked .

I got birthday bash yesterday after about 100 stones (which I was stoked about as I won his hut months back) then this morning decided to throw one in and low and behold surfer slam bam appears as my prize!

Won countless fisheries, taverns, cocoa stands and a fire shrine... Need to rearrange my islands now to fit everything in.

After Rufus and Diggs, no companion special today...Hrmmpf

How come the first payout from Diggs is only 25 gems?

One game here that is only 3 months old had L B after 7 stones and CFS after 50. She only had 140 stones to throw.

I did...GM ChopChop and FW Zook...about 3 hours between the two. and both on Sunday. Less than 500 stones all told.

I should try saving up 500 stones for the next time this happens . All i scored was another BnB and 3 Taverns and a Radiant Field for about 250 wishstones .

There's generally little reason to be throwing stones into the well once you've won the month's alter ego. It's probably better to buy any needed Halls of Legends but once you have enough of those (10 I think?) then it's best to save your excess stones for these types of weekends.

Speaking of Rufus. I bought him this weekend while on sale, mostly for the Valentine House. I was a little worried when the reward for the second quest was a picnic table. I was afraid they replaced the Valentine House with that lesser prize. Fortunately, there's a third quest and I'm well on my way to getting the last building I don't have (that I have any interest in getting, that is).

Threw in almost 3,000 stones and got Cupid Flameslinger, Grill Master Chop Chop, Buddy Wrecking Ball, New Year's Countdown, Surfer Slam Bam, Holiday Wash Buckler, and Fireworks Zook. Also won Swarm's House and a Tech Shrine.

Still wish I would have realized/known the if the alt's were not in the list then there were not in the well yet before I threw in the original ~650 stones, that could have been one or two more. I now have tons of B&B's, Fisheries, and Taverns. Lol

For those that got Diggs: I find that first-time diggers (Skylanders) are much more likely to get the >100 gems payout. So try to go through your whole list at least once before just throwing one level 15 in there all the time. Elemental days don't seem to play much of an effect either (if any). All told, Diggs is the best investment in game. You get your value back guaranteed after 2.5 months max, often sooner with first-time character bonuses. The 500k may seem steep, but after level 35 or so, it is not a problem.

I had two left, Surfer SB and Autumn SS. I had just over 2,400 stones (I filled up on Halls mid-summer or would have had more), got Surfer after around 1,100 and spent the rest (plus any I got this weekend) and didn't get Autumn. Oh well, got 10 Bed & Breakfasts, a bunch of Fisheries, Taverns and Cocoa Stands and Swarm's House. After rearranging my island, selling some Stone houses due to the population all those B&B provided I now still have enough Mabu to have every single Mabu business out and collecting plus another 35,000 Mabu in reserve. And my gold total with all that plus selling everything I won and a bunch of 100,000 gold prizes I'm up about 50 million gold from before the weekend started (not really in need of gold though, currently at 200+ million and only have the last island to buy when I hit 45). Now I just need to refill up on Wishstones and get Gems,

The companion sales they had didn't show up if you already had them, I didn't have Rufus so I saw that one, but I do have Diggs and Ol' Mac so didn't see anything on Saturday or Sunday. I was hoping for Fizznik, but no good.

Wow thats a Jackpot .

I wonder if it gets harder to win alts the higher your level. I'm at level 44 now and only had 3 alts left to get. Spent 1700 stones and got holiday wash buckler and birthday bashes hut. Seems like I should have gotten at least a couple with that many stones.
