This free addicting app game is very detailed, full 3D environments and dragon models. You can buy or hatch dragons, rare or common. This was developed by Social Quantum who also made other app games.

There are a few of these out there. Some range from a pseudo 3d to simple flash with squash and stretch animations, which all have a similar gameplay style. I'll look into it though.

The battle system is okay I guess. I mean you do have multi-element dragons that can use more than 1 element move off the bat. Like raising them wise. But it's sort of strange. I don't quite get the element thing yet.

Why not just get a facebook, and not add in anything (like like and friends) to the account and just play the game?

Yeah. Though there is special moves that you can use that cost 10 gems, a devastating attack, and a heal. In Dragon's world.
