Skylanders always had great music.

Seems to ramble...seems to be missing a hook that was present in the previous 3 games. I noticed that a bit in the last soundtrack and it seems to be getting more apparent.

The song isn't bad at all... But compared to Giants' theme this still lacks the oomph of a great adventure, not unlike Swap Force's theme. I do like that they're using choir a bit more however, Slippery Tunnel/Slime Pipe was really good when the Giants OST first came out and Motherly Mayhem has a field day with getting the song as creepy as possible with it.

Talking about this, almost sure that by this time the OST preview of all the other games was out already. Not looking for level name spoilers, but if they went back to great orchestra(and dubstep which doesn't hurt my ears) instead of 30-second looping tracks and the odd masterpiece, I'd really like to hear more than what I hear in the trailers.

Dang, you even found something to complain about of.............the soundtrack. ._.; I think it's pretty good.

I think they were trying to go for a more villainous type of theme, due to the gimmick.

Even if I don't agree with this specific consideration, it is still a personal opinion.

He mostly posts helpful and positive critiques, and never rants for the sake of it.
He always motivates his considerations, and compliments the developers, when they deserve it.

There are other utents, here, that should learn not to be negatively pessimistics...

That's a little bit too much to say about GR. He is no saint and just like everyone else exaggerates sometimes.
But this complaint about the song is kind of normal. The themes seem to change something every game. SSA was strange but beautiful, Giants was empowering, Swap Force was...uh?(didn't hear enough to even think of anything) and this one seems to have more than one feeling it's trying to convey. It's normal if you feel like it's dragging out less or more than the other themes since it's so different.

But anything is better than Mesmerelda and Fire Viper's battle themes. Nope, just nope.

It's pretty nice, but, as Bifrost said, it's just lacking the "powerful" feeling that Giants and SWAP Force gave. It does seem more fit for villains, though.

The fully orchestrated version of Bringing Order to Kaos will always be my favorite.

To me, it seems like they are trying to give an "heroic villain" feeling, to it.

I actually really like it.

Definitely fits in with the villain theme.

BitFrost, If I exaggerate sometimes it's because the equation has to be balanced sometimes...and I'm the equalizer.

Sorry if you guys don't like the fact that I find the theme boring....it says a lot of things without saying much at all. I hope it's because we only heard the middle of it. There's simply no "anthem" here. Giants actually inspired me--much like John William's original Star Wars theme did.

That's not to say the song isn't pleasant to listen to, but the game theme has to be memorable, and I didn't hear it. I own all three game scores and I have to say Swap Force is a distant third compared to the rest...I hope the remaining themes here are better.

At least if I post negatively, I give rationale and reasons--same thing I expect out of any poster here. I'm not religious so I have no aspirations to be a saint.

Based on the main themes from the OSTs, not the ones that play at the title of each game-

Giants' theme is the bootyhaul. It opens up with a bit of mystique, then the rest of the song feels epic, and the tune itself is catchy enough.

SA's theme kinda feels nostalgic. Maybe it's just because I'm nostalgic for the game itself, but whenever I listen to it, it feels kinda like I've come home, and if I feel like it then I can go on an adventure and explore Skylands.

SF's feels mysterious, which is kind of fitting considering you explore some islands you've never been to. The tune seems catchier than the others, by virtue of getting repeated more. I don't like it as much as Giants' theme, but about as much as I like SA's.

I don't like TT's theme... I actually feel similarly about it to GR- it seems kinda messy. At least it seems to have good instrumentation. But wadda I know- I don't critique or know much about how a song should be, and maybe it doesn't seem that good to me 'cause I haven't played the game and heard the tune/title song a lot, unlike the others.

The song is great as always the song sounds medieval to me Swapforce is good too
The only Song I liked from ssa was exploring the ruins and the theme song were kids are playing choir and the arkeyan vault in giants cutthroat carnival was one my favs

Actually, whenever I try to "sing" on of the Skylanders songs, the first one that come in my mind is ALWAYS the Giants theme.

Even if I specifically try to remember the SWAP Force one, which I listened to much more times, due to the OST leak, the last year.

It is just... Awesome.

I've always had a thing for the SA theme, and would have preferred that it be used repeatedly throughout the series. Don't hear enough of it.

As for this one, it is kinda plain. It's acceptable, but it's not memorable. That may be just fine for this around, as each villain is supposed to have their own these song.

The theme song for Trap Team is in my opinion the best Skylanders theme song ever!

That basically sums it up for me. I think this clip came from the demo intro, so I'll reserve final judgement until the tracks are officially released.

So many dislikes

Ssa was classic
Giants kinda giants battling
Swapforce like a team into battle
Trap team more like hero to villain music

I love it much better then the Swap Force main theme (i didnt like that one)

So it IS the main theme.

But what is INGrooves? I never payed attention to the game credits after VAs and character design, but not sure why they list that instead of Activision.

Well, at least it's just a monetization claim, they aren't actually removing the video.

Never a doubt it wasn't...just hoping the snippet we heard was something in the middle of the song.

Wow! I like this soundtrack! Of course, I love just about every music piece I hear. I think it has some elements that weren't in the SF theme, and it still has a little of that original Skylanders sound.
