It's in German and the video is sort of distorted.
Also, check out 10:27, it says Series 1 Whirlwind's name is Dark Food Fight

I noticed there was also the life symbol next to Whirlwind's hp bar.

The demo is obviously horked. Nothing to write home about. Now if the actual game is like this, I'm SSUUURRREEE a patch will be forthcoming.

Oh wait.

RIP GhostRoaster. He's reanimated as TakeYourLemons but occasionally is resurrected from the beyond when needed.

And completely ignoring that she's switched to the life element smilie

From these demo's, it looks like there was a bug with the HUD when you switch between a villain and a Skylander.

Guys, its not the first time the demo has weird glitches. In the Giants demo(more like dbug version,it had the "select any level" menu) at Brasil Games Show(which I stayed nearby for hours) the HUD would also have the wrong names, and sometimes the portal would freak out and read the character as several elements at once. Pretty sure none of those are in the retail version.

for a game that cost 200+ dollars a patch ain't acceptable, i expect a finished product that work as it was intended. if not i want my money back.

Cmon, perfection can not be achieved when it's man coding the machine. The bigger problem is lack of desire to create patches.

Oh, and good luck returning an opened game.

skylanders is a billion earning franchise... when they make that kind of money, you as a customer should expect something to work as it should. after all they have the time and money to get it done properly... you as a customer shouldn't expect mediocre.

You forget it's a game. A video game. It will always have problems, no matter how much you put into it. It's only $75, not $200+ like you said. That's only if you choose to pay that much. A patch is more than acceptable and heck, I'm fine with glitches. They are a natural part of enjoying video games. You could work on a game for 20 years, and guess what, there is still going to be a glitch somewhere. No video game is perfect, despite the money and time.

Cool,let's ignore what I said.
Giants didn't have a game crashing glitch that happened every hour or a portal that couldn't read toys properly. A Debug version which was running for over 8 hours on an x360(which is the same system I play Giants on) did. If you're going to whine that the HUD glitch is obviously going to make it to the game, please wait for October 5th before patting yourself in the back for knowing that.

I'm on both sides. I don't think we should expect crap from software companies...because if we do, then guess what? that's what we get. I however don't expect perfection, but I do expect the WORST problems to get rectified. My big beef with this franchise is that IF there is a serious problem then the franchise will simply fold since they "don't do patches". Last year's Wii fiasco comes to mind.

Example: I'm still frankly annoyed that in SSA certain bugs like a certain heroic challenge from being completed because Lightning Rod was registered before level 3, but it wasn't "game breaking". But it's something I as a consumer would expect a fix for, not a "tough luck". Folks who bought the PC version of SSA got majorly s-c-r-e-w-e-d.

I also don't envy the QA team on this one. If any of you read The Trenches comic, there are horror stories on there for sports games where they test all team/field/condition combinations. Now imagine testing every Skylander (back to SSA) at all levels, in all hats/outfits, all the swap combinations...

I will say that Skylanders has an extra caveat - if you bought Sim City and hated it, you were stuck. You already gave them the money for the product, and the worst you could do is give it a bad review. Skylanders thrives on post-game sales of figures, so if something is seriously wrong, they will lose future sales as well. Since the initial cost is not the only cost, they have more incentive to make a product that performs well out of the gate (or fix it).

Yes, he is originally a Life villian. Cross crow is the Water bird.
