Guess that means September will be a magic quest and magic toy link tower? I hope so as I'm fairly new and only have 5 islands, didn't have fire in time to play quest but obviously have magic...

well, there goes Midas' theory that the magic sanctuary would be last to upgrade (his thought since it's the first island you unlock when you play)

Yeah. And it really makes no sense. I have a ton of Magic skylanders, including several alter egos that have absolutely nothing to do (Hoppity Pop Fizz--I'm looking at you!)

Magic Celebration is happening worldwide on September 7, 2013 . Wizards of the Coast and Magic the Gathering are going nuts on Sep 7th .

September means seven and well seven is a magic number . Thats what google says .

Magic Celebration is a yearly Magic: The Gathering one-day tournament organized by the DCI on the first or second saturday of September. The tournament is played in local game and hobby stores around the world, a month after the Core set Game Day. Celebration events use a special format and are free of charge.

You will notice that Mystic StarStrike is holding cards and Magic the Gathering uses cards . Does anyone play that game ?

Used to play the game, years ago. My kids have actually started getting interested in playing with my old cards, but not enough so that I am willing to start shelling out more for new cards (Man, that was an expensive hobby!).

Hah, I still have a ton of Magic cards sitting around. At 3 sets a year it definitely gives Skylanders a run for its money as far as costly hobbies. Not surprising that both franchises attract the same people

"Expensive" is a serious understatement! I used to have fun playing it, and still have some cards, but I was never willing (ok - at the time I was a starving student who was unable) to spend the money required to stay on top of the latest cards or be able to construct 'proper' decks.
