I just dont see why its so popular.

There are two types of Anime fans. Manga adaptation Anime fans and Anime based on nothing. Also Yaoi is sex between gays and Shonen ai is two gays showing affection. Free isn't Yaoi but Shonen ai.

Eh, it's just more shows i can watch and enjoy. It's like shows here, i like some an others i don't. I don't really see a difference other than anime can get away with more things than american or Canadian shows can.

Personally I find the style of anime to be a bit hard on the eyes. Not saying I hate anime, as I have seen a few before that were enjoyable to watch, but I lose interest pretty quickly after I finish them and then that's it, I'm done. I never get interested in rewatching them, and that's even if I finish them. The only anime that I've seen that broke that trend was Hell Girl.

Some anime is really engaging, I understand why people like it (style, culture, animation, storylines etc.) and I'm not questioning it... Anime just isn't my thing due to lack of interest. Granted I haven't seen a lot of it but like I said, I'm not very interested in checking more out.

I have a harder time trying to explain why I don't like anime.

Anime is such a broad term, seeing how it means cartoon.

Although, some people may not like anime for its animation. It can be really stilted, with lots of still images and the mouths just awkwardly moving up and down.

Anime is just as varied as Western Animation.
And saying anime is for adults and cartoons are for kids is just one of the most ridiculous... well really this being S&N it's unsurprising but still!
There are tons of anime for kids, especially a lot of product-based ones, and there are plenty of cartoons for adults, and there are plenty of anime and cartoons that can be enjoyed by kids and adults.

It's just shows from another country. So what? But then again, some anime I saw are just too disturbing for me. By some, I mean most. I'm not that big on anime, being a person who grew up on western culture but it's cool I guess.

The only anime I really like is Madoka Magica. My avatar explains it all.

I've very recently begun to really get into anime, though I've always liked it and gotten nostalgia from it.
Gundam (00 and also Wing), Big O, Fafner in Azure (AKA Fafner: Dead Aggressor), Spider Riders (entirely to laugh at how awful it is), some others, and my favorites Noein (which actually doesn't feel a whole lot like anime) and Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion [pronounced Gee-oss] (which is possibly the best and most well-done show I have ever seen, anime or otherwise) to name a few

Oh yeah, I forgot Spider Riders existed. It was cool, I guess.

Only for cool mecha-spiders and that awesome theme.

I got addicted to that show because of netflix. I thanked I watched every episode in a couple days.

I also showed it to one of my friends at a sleepover....we watched five of them that night, and the next time I came over (a few weeks) he was on the last episode.
