Returned from work and tried to log into my game only to be greeted with a pop up message saying I had saved my game to a later version of skylanders and I must update to play. Clicked the link to update and no new update is available (I am running the most up to date version) anyone got any ideas what might've happened and how I can back into my game

Seems to be a problem with a number of Android users (including me). The only solution at the moment is to switch off your internet access while playing.

I solved this problem on my iPhone by going into airplane mode and loading the app up. I then got
Settings up ready, turned airplane mode off and repeatedly clicked in save to cloud in settings if lost islands. Game now loads normally again.

Thanks for the tip, I couldn't make it work though - took me to an Activate window but I don't have Activate. Perhaps it's necessary to pull this trick off.

I do have activate so that could well be a reason why.

Trying your trick a number of times did somehow manage to let the update sneak through with the Toy Link Tower and Sanctum timed quest. So thanks for that!
