I have not read the comics, I just can't get into them for some reason, but I've seen almost all of the Marvel and DC films. DC unfortunately doesn't have much for movies besides Batman and Superman. Marvel not only has many more films, but they have exactly the tone I like in movies. A nice blend between action and humor. Because of this, I'm gonna have to say Marvel.

DC has better TV shows
Marvel rehash their movies
DC tries new things in their movie
Marvel comics are getting better then where they were at before Disney bought them
DC comics stayed the same in their comic (I can't think of a word to fit here)
But without Disney Marvel would be gone

Definitely Marvel.

I like both, but Marvel has had a damn good track record with their movies lately, so I'm gonna have to side with them.

Why not both?

To be honest, I don't read comic books, so my answer would end up being based entirely around their films and shows (and I have yet to see Arrow or Agents of SHIELD; bite me). As far as movies/shows are concerned, they both have a different feeling that I can enjoy depending on the mood I'm in. There's many more Marvel films that I enjoy than DC (both in and out of the Cinematic Universe). But we also have to keep in mind that as of right now there is only one film in the DC Universe canon (and it's a damn good one).

And Injustice did more to make me interested in the DC lore than pretty much any Marvel video game.

Call me indecisive. I guess for now I would say Marvel, but that could easily change in the coming years.

Oh yeah DC games are better..

On one hand Spiderman 2 is the best movie tie in ever....

On the other hand, Arkham...

I really hope they make a superman game like Arkham.

Rocksteady and friends should make games for all the big DC characters like Arkham.

Unfortunately I feel like it's going to be Batman. He's more popular and if there's one thing that I don't like about DC, it's that they've put way too much focus on Batman in recent years (Batman is great but everybody else is cool too).

To be honest it seems way too soon to have that kind of movie. Even ignoring how a Batman trilogy ended just a couple of years ago, we've only had one movie in the DC Universe canon who's existence was to establish who Superman is. Not even a movie to establish Batman. We should've waited until after a Justice League movie.

Honestly the victor wouldn't be decided by popularity I think. I don't remember what it was called but there's an animated special or movie where Old Bruce Wayne and Old Kal El fight and Bruce wins, I even thinks he alludes to beating him previously, Batman is not just a super badass dude who can kick some ass, he's also a master detective, he can find weaknesses in a matter of seconds, and it's not 'cheap' or 'cowardly' to use your foe's weakness against them if that is their only weakness, if Batman used Kryptonite to weaken Superman he would win easily, and I'm sure he could think of another way other than that

^Perhaps so, but it's also still difficult to ignore how Superman is pretty much a god on Earth. Thing is, the only way Batman can realistically beat Superman is if the writers just come up with some phony "he was prepared" excuse and gave him a lot of junk that could stop him. Otherwise it would be a very one sided fight.

I don't read the comics but from what I know of a lot of DC lore and Justice League going ons can involve Batman being the one to save the day because "he had time to prepare" and he was simply ahead of the curve of everybody else. It's a little hard to not get the feeling that they constantly write it like that because Batman is the most popular character at the moment and people want to see him win or be the one to save the day. DC (and Warner Bros) can't rely on Batman forever. So I would hope that Superman stands an actual chance or even wins.

Honestly it is either going to end in a draw or Batman winning only because it's basically Superman's movie, or the fight will be interrupted and then they will band together.

Batman can keep tabs on people and he does so, he keeps tabs on villains and hero's, so it's not really a last minute excuse that he was prepared, that's what Batman is, he knows his enemy before facing him a lot of the time, and what happened in (Don't remember where Superman fought Zod) but news of it would have circulated and Batman would have gotten ready for something.

^Ah yes I forgot about the idea of them banding together. Lex Luthor is going to be in the film so it's a given.

Batman can keep tabs but the fact that he not only has tabs on how to defeat friends and foes, but also created ways/suits to do so AND has access to them at nearly all times makes him appear overpowered. It's cool and all to see him be able to use his mind (and money) to do all of this. But I would like to see him not know what to do.
For one thing, how would Batman even prepare? There are no records or knowledge about Kryptonians, and Batman's only knowledge would be that Superman can punch really hard.

They'd fight it out for a bit, I'd say the good first 40-60 minutes of the movie, and then they'd learn to band together to take down the foe at the last minute. Sort of like the Avengers. Lol.

^I couldn't even imagine nonstop fighting for an hour between those two.

I hope so. It would make it all seem a lot better and more human. Batman shouldn't be able to take on or beat Superman on the first go.

Man of Steel is so brilliantly flawed that I don't quite know how to feel. I really like it but I also acknowledge everything that's wrong with it.

I prefer Marvel.

On the topic of batman Vs. Superman? Their both way too popularized, Wonder Woman should suddenly appear and kick both of their asses.

I love both, but marvel. The comics are good, and the movies are awesome.
