i never played a playstation spyro games i still really like spyro i dont like playing him in skylanders but is this really the end theres no spyro so what are they gonna do move on? hes still there as a sidekick so probs to that and also from the poster everyone seems to really not like how lightcores arnt back so far as the poster goes that the sidekicks and most we already have like trigger snappy etc alot are new eruptor, drobot, hex and bash and its weird how there's only 1 returning and its weried how earth and tech arnt "even" to the rest 8 elements. I hope this is not a lame topic on its own, i just want to share how its uneven to me,

There's still a spyro sidekick. Me, I'm really find with that. I don't care about spyro what would he get more? Bigger claws?

yeah there not bringing back alot this time which its scary if there done with it everyone thought boomer would at least come back;(

...They're still with him around. Sidekick Spyro is just his Miniverse counterpart. Not much to do with him anymore anyway after his S3, his abilities only allowed new attacks for so long. And there's the Eon's Elite rerelease which has the nicer painted S1.

This is really an unnecessary topic.

But that being said, the numbers don't line up for what they promised in the commercials and whatnot. If you add all the characters on the poster-even with the trap masters- it doesn't equal over sixty. So there is still hope.

I do like Spyro, especially his Dark version. But if he isn't really returning as an S4 figure, I'm cool with it.

Why is everyone suddenly like "Oh no no spyro" and so? Are you all relying on that poster? There are no Series 2, 3 or 4 on it whatsoever. Spyro can still come back. Just don't jump to conclusions that fast.

I agree. to me, Activision should stop "Remaking" the old ones and focus more on the Newer Skylanders. However, knowing Activison wants moeny, I can see them Making Spyro return for the old fans.

I know. But we got like chibi version of Bash, Drobot, and Spyro. And they just look so cute. And Sidekick Whirlwind looks adorbs X3

spyro have been reduced to a mini now.... thats how important he have become.

All these minis... and no sign of Mini-Kaos and his diaper of ultimate doom? Bah.

Well, he has his own sidekick and he will be appearing in Eon's Elite. I', glad how they aren't over-doing the variants this time but I am a little disappointed that Boomer isn't here at all. I love that they aren't doing lightcores anymore. They were always a money grab to be. I hardly ever bought them.

Actually I'm glad for that too. Though I really want like all of the Skylanders from the first that did not get a figure rework to get one other series counterpart. Since series 1 figures weren't exactly the best looking and are hard to get these days.

If they are going to do a repose of Gill Grunt again, they WILL do a Spyro repose. We just haven't seen it yet.

As long ad they don't drop older characters, in future games, and you have a Spyro figure, he will ALWAYS be playable.

Spyro was just a bridge in SSA to help draw in fans. Story wise he has been pretty much just lost in the crowd as all the other cores are since they don't do any character development.

The only one that I'll buy right now is Tidal wave Gill Grunt. The wow pow is insane.

There's still a chance that Boomer could get an Eon's Elite version of himself, even though Trigger Happy/Drobot would be a more likely candidate.

Um.. no. Spyro is still the "leader" of the Skylanders. He's, arguably, one of the most popular original characters.

32-reheated skylanders this go round. It's easy money.

Don't forget Spyro is in Eon's Elite. So you get him and the mini this go round. That's enough re-heating for Spyro for me.

Don't forget that taking Spyro out of Skylanders for even one game means riot from diehard fans. There was more than enough drama when he wasn't in the title of the game anymore and people took that as 'he'll never be in the game again' for some reason.

Spyro was really only ever important for promotional reasons. That's why they naturally made him the "leader". In terms of pertaining to the story, he's no more important than Sunburn or any of the other non-reposed figure.

In terms of pertaining to the story, he's as important as every other skylander. I don't think Spyro stayed S1, no last time I checked he had 2 reposes, two Dark variants and now a Mini.

I think I'm ok with Spyro not returning as a repose. I mean, there's not really a reason to do so (or really for a lot of reposes for that matter)

I think it's interesting that Spyro seems to have been left out of a lot of stuff with Swap Force (I can't really recall seeing him in a lot of media or images) and Trap Team he seems to be entirely non-existent besides Eon's Elite and the Mini version.

To be honest, I hope this is a changing attitude of Activision in wanting to expand the Skylanders brand separately from Spyro and perhaps with Spyro in mind as a separate franchise, we could see him main his own game again.

Well, they could always make solo games for the Skylanders. Not just because of Spyro - there are SO many characters with potential to last an entire game but they'll have to be left behind eventually at the risk of their new incarnations being too repetitive. They could very well still use the Skylanders canon for Spyro since they share the style and a lot of the lore, but leave him as the only playable character or with only two or three friends at most like it happens with the Mask of Power adventures. The toys as a whole will only be interesting for so long, but that doesn't mean they can't give more love to the best characters.

I wonder if this means they will do more with Sidekicks now.
