There should be one because, you can get notifications for replies on Guestbooks and Pm Messages

You already do get notifications fro both of those.

The "!" next to your username at the upper right means you got a new Guestbook message.
When you have a new PM, it'll tell you on the upper right. Like "1 New Message" or something like that.

I know that but what if you're not on darkspyro but still on your PC ?

Well...DarkSpyro is not really an IM service. In all honesty, I've never seen this be done in a Forum unless it's the Forum's Public Chat, which we don't have. But for profile messages and private messages in a Forum, never seen such a thing. Didn't even think it was possible.
