Does anyone else think that Minecraft has been way too overplayed? You can't scroll through gaming videos on YouTube without finding at least 5 Minecraft videos. Minecraft has been milked.

I agree, I've never like Minecraft and the videos are everywhere!

Like Fatman said, more and more mods are being added every day, so there's always new stuff to make videos about. But yes, I agree that there's a lot of people who milk Minecraft because it's guaranteed to get a bunch of views from kids. If you've got adds, views mean revenue.

Minecraft was good till 2009 or so. Then it got so many new blocks, new possibilities etc that making simple, creative stuff wasn't fun anymore as some guys with more time did so much cooler stuff with more blocks. I'm a fan of simple games, and it just went too big for my taste.

It doesn't bother me that Minecraft videos are so popular and I'm fine with the amount of items and such in the game, though it definitely should be made more acessible for people starting out.
I'd just like YouTube to stop suggesting TheDiamondPickaxe or whoever's videos to me as I listen to Spyro/Mario/Crash/Uprising music; especially since I've only watched about two Minecraft videos in the past few months, and only watched one video by TheDiamondWhatever, which I didn't even finish. Seems I constantly get suggested popular YouTubers' videos, whose content I don't like, just from skimming one or two of their videos. It's super-annoying because whenever I look for videos on a particular thing, sometimes, I need to watch videos on channels I dislike because other videos about the same thing are too poor-quality or they've got an exclusive.

Meanwhile, YouTube hardly ever suggests Retsupurae videos to me, even though they're the channel I've watched most often in the last month. At least I'm seeing PewDiePie's videos suggested to me by the front page less.

It doesn't deserve the praise it gets. It's a fine game, but people act like it's the best, which it is not IMO.
