I've already heard people call Guardians of the Galaxy the best superhero movie of all time. Before that I heard the same about X-Men: Days of Future Past. Before that I heard the same about Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Now I unfortunately haven't seen any of them yet, but I've seen almost every other superhero movie.

I want to hear everyone's opinion on what they think is the best superhero movie. That means all films, not just Marvel or just DC.

I'm having trouble trying to pick one. I know very well which one's my favorite, but not which one I think is the best.

The Incrediables, it doesn't have action everywhere like most superhero movies now a day *cough*Avengers*cough* but it has heart and story to it. I got to connect with the family and felt their pain in life with tem being outcast. The villain had an okay background but is really dark when you think about. He killed superheroes as test subjects. The comedy also hits a lot and there are a few references here and there.

But then again I don't think action makes a good movie.

I rather agree with the logic for this. Too many super-hero movies are just action flicks. The plot mostly lacks other than a need to beat up some guy then the second half is just beating him up and destroying the city in the process such as many of the Marvel movies.

The Incredibles will always be one of my favorite movies.

Now, I really enjoy The Avengers. The main reason is because I'm never bored while watching it. I find the scenes where characters are simply talking to each other are just as entertaining as the action scenes. The action scenes are also very cool and have really good effects. The main weakness of the movie is the story. I've seen it dozens of times and I'm still not quite sure what it is. Even though I enjoy Loki, he's a pretty weak villain. It's one of my favorite movies, but it could use some improving on the story aspect.

Now The Dark Knight in my opinion is extremely overrated. Everyone says it's like the best movie ever, but I don't see it. Don't get me wrong, it's a good movie, but it doesn't feel like a superhero movie. I feel like they focused a bit too much on the Joker. Yeah, Batman had all of Batman Begins to build up his character, but I feel like he was barley in The Dark Knight. I really enjoyed his character and wanted more than what I got. I don't think it had the greatest action scenes either. I also found it very depressing and always felt sad when I watched it. In my opinion, Batman Begins is the much better film and should get more credit.

This might sound a bit bias, since it just came out, but... Captain America: the Winter Soldier.

I really liked it that much. The film, imo, had a perfect blend of being both a superhero movie and a political thriller. Its underlying themes fit in great with the story, the writing was great where it wanted to be- it was rightly funny when it wanted to, it was emotional when it wanted to be, and it was developed when it wanted to be- and the acting and chemistry between the characters is amazing. My only real issue with the film was that I thought the Winter Soldier wasn't in the film enough or developed enough for the film to really have his name be the subtitle. But overall I loved Captain America: The Winter Soldier enough to watch it 3 times in the theater, and that's saying something for me.

if you want something not to sound as bias as some might think this is, my favorite before TWS was Spider Man 2. It had the strongest acting, action scenes, effects, and development of all the Spider Man films imo, and was definitely the best of any Spider Man film to come out, both old and new.

Spiderman 2. I used to think The Dark Knight but I'm sorta blinded by nostalgia for the old Spiderman movies.
