Earth, Wind, and Space. All three in a triangle balance each other out. Beings of this world, Tricnia, have the ability to master one of the triangle and everything associated with it. Earth gets powers of ground, of nature, of water. Wind gets power over weather and temperature as well as fire. Space gets power over light, dark, and starlight-magic. There was no war, only balance.
Far in the beginning, a being was created with power over all three elements. This made it godly, and it had a choice, to use this power to distribute it over the lands or control it to take over Tricnia.
Tricnia was a peaceful place, and there was no reason for war. The godly being wanted to help the world, and keep the balance in check. But once every hundred of years, its will gives out temporarily, and its powers rage all over Tricnia. There is little to no warning, and many get slaughtered. However, its powers ensure that the deaths do not go too far, and even though many are killed, an even amount from each world are left. Over time, the balance remains.
Not this time. During the last Slaughter, extraterrestrial objects rained down and killed many more Earthen and Wind inhabitants. The balance was tipped, with Space being in favor.
Wishing to bring balance, rumors of Earth and Wind rising are spreading. Their aim will be to venture to Space and destroy many of its kind, so the world will be equal again.
Space does not wish to start war. But if the rumors are true, and Earth and Wind are coming, then it will retaliate. War will reign over the once-peaceful planet. What side will you pick? Earth, Wind, or Space? Are you for the attack or against it? And even if it's stopped, what will the godly being play in all this- it may decide to cause another Slaughter, to righten the balance once more. Can you stop it, in time?
The RP starts about a month after the last Slaughter. Earth and Wind leaders are meeting for an alliance, unknown to the Space leader. They will start tunneling into mountains, hopeful to stumble across a Space cave or portal to take them to Space and invade. Your characters against the invasion will be just about ready to put a stop to this and head out, trying to find allies in their elemental world and others.
Planet Information:
Tricnia is a utopian planet, supplying resources for any and every living creature. Many types of plants and animals are present here, even ones from old mythology. That is, dragons and griffons run free, among others. Besides that, there are other creatures that we have not seen before. (If you have an idea for a new animal or plant, feel free to tell me to add it!) There are also temples scattered around Tricnia for the godly being.
The Tricnian people are not too advanced in terms of technology. The Earthen people can use metals, and Wind as well as Space trade resources with Earth to gain use for these metals. Space people can use starlight-magic.
There are three Tricnian leaders, one for each land. They serve to guide their land- oversee their own people, visitors, trading, etc. At their leadership they take an oath swearing not to misuse their leadership powers. The leaders can be chosen for traits such as elemental power, kindness to their people, intelligence, and so on. If a leader dies (probably won't happen, but just saying) they say that the new one is chosen at one of the temples.
Messages are spread from leader to land by their people (messengers) or even written and delivered on scrolls and ink.
Element Information:
Earth
Leader: _____
Earth people live directly on Tricnia's surface. They consist of about three-fifths of the population of Tricnia's surface. Their idea of a home could be underground tunnels, or regular houses. They live in towns, spread out all over their territory. The world is covered in foliage, making it look pretty and green from above. Numerous rivers run through, more frequently than oceans. This means fresh water is much easier to gather. The wildlife for Earth elementals is nearly any kind of plant you can imagine, as well as most land-bound and water-bound Earth creatures.
Earth people can use and manipulate any form of the ground, including rock and metal. They can use nature, and are efficient healers, having knowledge of the plants around them. They also have access to poison. And finally, they can use water. Only with the help of a Wind user can it be frozen or boiled.
The Earth people are usually optimistic yet gentle-mannered. They know how to use their powers to help others, and are never afraid to share what they have, as they occupy most of Tricnia.
Wind
Leader: _____
Wind people cover most of the hilly, empty area of Tricnia, which takes up one-fifth of the surface, as well as the cloud level. Some Wind people live in the hills, creating homes in cliff faces and the land. Meanwhile, Earthen metal was used to make looming platforms into the sky, for visitors and residents that can't fly. Once up there, numerous floating platforms are navigated via wind gusts. It is almost like another world, but still considered part of Tricnia. There are clusters of colonies on floating inlets. Water is frequently found in springs or ponds. In the rare occasion of a river, it leads off the side of the island and spills over, a waterfall ending in mist. Wildlife up here are birds and the occasional mythological flying creature, like a dragon.
Wind people control weather. However, their powers are not large-scale. They cannot control the climate of the land. They can only control it in small bursts, such as causing clouds to form or tornadoes to strike down. Of course, they can manipulate it, like lighting powers or wind gusts. Wind people also have control over temperature. Once again, not large-scale, but in a smaller form. They can cause ice to melt, for example. Finally, they have power over fire.
Wind users are much different from Earthen. More often then not they have short tempers and are risk-takers, jumping and gliding among the inlets with no care for their safety.
Space
Leader: _____
The Space race (for you, Lyv <3) occupies the very borders of what counts as Tricnia. They own the final fifth of the surface, the surface Space people taking refuge in caves and other dark, hidden places. It is said that deep in their caves are portals to the rest of their territory, which is far above even the Wind people. In the territory that is in space, the people live on Tricnia's rings. Their people are spread in several large cities. Space people, in a sense, are the most technologically advanced, using their starlight-magic. They use portals to travel. The wildlife in space contains no natural Earthen plants, those being grown in mini-greenhouses. They do have their own kind of space plants, which are of strange colors. And the animals are entirely mythological, as well as species existing that none have ever seen before. And they use their magic to catch water particles and transform it into drinkable water.
The Space race has control over light and dark as well as starlight-magic. They can use the power of extraterrestrial objects, and can learn types of dark and light magic.
Space people, although they are fine with each other, are isolated from the rest of Tricnia. They are quiet, distant, and cold, only trusting each other. They are also highly intelligent.
The God
It is rumored to live in the core of Tricnia, deeper than any Earthen tunnel could reach. But it acts as the core of Tricnia, never leaving, keeping everything in check. However, it is not emotionless, and it somehow senses what is going on with the rest of the world. It is rumored to have boundless wisdom, as well as a sense of humor and justice. Too bad no one has ever seen it to describe it... (Guys it needs a name. D: )
