We dont need to split threads. People can learn to handle what constructive criticism is on the forums. If you cant handle something negative being said about the game thats actually intelligent and not as simple minded as "Skylanders Suck!!!11!!!!" I recommend you stay off the internet, ignore those posts, or stick to threads like the fan favorite or voting ones.

Skylanders just wants my money, and they don't innovate. Oh, and there are too many girl skylanders coming out.

Whoa dude. I don't know what the whole "you stay off the internet" thing is about, but I did this because it kinda stops little flame wars between people who start fights about other's opinion being negative.

The only thing that concerns me is that the new game might get game-stopping glitches like the green screen of death and frozen screen. Also, I agree with the fact that the people who makes Skylanders won't quit until we have no money left.

We don't know if Traps will be available in the next game, and that concerns me as a parent spending hundreds of dollars on these toys.

I don't know if Activision is allowing people to customize their character's abilities outside of purchasing ability upgrades is going to continue. Heroics was negated in Swap Force and I'd like to know if this trend will be forgotten forever.

I think we all want traps to work in the following games, but in reality, we know that they aren't going to work on Skylanders 5.

Stop knocking my con, or I'll start knocking the pros. My point is that they have to come CLEAN with this fact. I'm not assuming, I'm a consumer that acts on data.

I really wish Activision would stop being negative to the content creators who are excited for the game and create problems/give strikes. It has a negative impact on our wonderful community.

There isnt enough negativity in here yet for being called a CON thread!!


No traps usable in Skylanders 5?

I'm very worried what will happen if it DOES HAPPEN in #5 and how they will spin it. Better to come clean before October 5th.

Maybe we'll still have usable traps. But no vault access. Force you to buy all the traps to play all the baddies in 5 and beyond.

Wait thats starting to sound like there is hope... Down with the positive thinking. Silly me.

Elegantly said. Major props to those that still remain collectors. I think they're going to need to invest wisely or aggressively to pay for it all. It was fun for me when there were walls around it all, now it seems to utterly futile and too complex to even bother.

Meanwhile, we can be certain everything (except Play Sets) will be playable in the inevitable Disney Infinity 3.0 and hell, even amiibos we know will be used on as many games as Nintendo can muster.

There's no reason why Trap Masters should be larger and cost more. It's the point of that they don't even do anything special.

So much. I think they plan to dish out the info right before Infinity 2.0 releases and expect people to automatically cancel everything when Disney can't change a thing. That won't happen.

It boils down to the "Giants test". Remember every game they get data on what we "will" and "won't" accept. Giants told them people WILL pay more for a bigger figure. If we don't hammer home NO on some of the things they are saying, they're going to overdo it. I think we are already there, frankly. It all boils down to votes, and our votes are our wallets. I talked a good game last time but didn't vote with my wallet. I HAVE TO this time, on a number of things.

1. Reposes, Special Editions, In Game Variants, Collector Editions, Legendaries
2. Unknown supportability of current game gimmick [they can't NOT go to market without answering this question, period]
3. Lack of needed features (online play is my needed feature, YMMV)
4. Other in game innovations other than gimmick

Why worry about Skylanders 5. Trap team might bomb hard and they might not even make a Skylanders 5.

Its a multi-billion dollar franchise. Activision isnt going to kill it likely on the first misstep. We'll get a fifth one. If that one however bombs, I could see them counting their loses and moving on to the next get rich quick fad .
