**Trap masters can interact with Traptanium Shards that allow for access to new locations in the game, they also provide a damage bonus against all playable villains when they are defeated.
***Traps are used to capture playable villains once they have been defeated. Traps can be used like any other Skylander in the special trap section of the portal of power to play as that previously trapped villain.
