Blocking proxy servers [CLOSED]

Since IP bans can be evaded by using proxy servers, I was wondering if it would be possible to prevent them from accessing the site. It should make it at least a little more difficult to evade a ban, right?

if this is possible, then dark should block proxy servers, it will make it harder for ES to come back

uhhh, you can't necessarily block a proxy but you can detect one and restrict access, i can't really explain it but like look at hulu
tho don't do that cause it ****s over a lot of legitimate users

yeah, I was thinking of some kind of proxy detector too.

it might have some really bad consequences as mentioned in this post though.
