Seriously no offense but I honestly can't find the appeal of virtually any modern music I find interesting or appealing.

So what soundtracks do you all listen to?

And what soundtracks would you recommend to get the unenlightened to start listening?

• Bravely Default by Revo: awesome, catchy tracks that are just fun to listen to and make the listener want to enjoy the game. Add some heartfelt, beautiful songs to the mix, and you have one of the greatest gaming OSTs of all time.

• Kingdom Hearts by Yoko Shimomura, among others: one of the most famous and revered among JRPG soundtracks, if not OSTs in general, it is famed for being catchy, capturing the moods of scenes and classic Disney movies, and having some unbelievably beautiful compositions.

• The Legend of Korra by Zuckerman: haven't heard many of the tracks yet so can't pick favorites just yet (just got the album of Amazon Prime though so I plan to soon), but this OST actually manages to very successfully combine oriental and 1920s-esque music, with some stunning pieces that help make the show itself such a masterpiece.
  


• Noein by (not sure at the moment lol): haven't heard many of these tracks on their own, but in the anime itself, the music is stunning. Karasu's theme especially:

The Ultimate Show from Super Paper Mario

Hoo boy do I have A LOT of favorite soundtracks, so I'll just list some I've been listening to recently. (Plus I'll list my personal picks for each)

First one I can list is the soundtracks for Sonic Adventure 1 and 2, while SA1 had more genre variety, I still enjoy listening to SA2's share of gems. Both games had their share of rockin' tracks, moreso SA2, but SA1 had ambient, snazzy, as well as rockin tracks.

Second, pretty much anything from Jacob Kaufman, he did the soundtracks of Mighty Switch Force 1 & 2 as well as the recently released Shovel Knight. Each of his songs give that nice adventurous techno vibe as well as sounding upbeat. More of my favorites:

Third and last for now, pretty much anything from Anamanaguchi, although since this is for soundtracks, I'll say the work they did for the Scott Pilgrim vs the World The Game soundtrack, I love all of their songs, there's just something about the upbeat chiptune vibe that I love about them. If you like what you hear below, I highly recommend other work and albums they've done.
