It's CONFIRMED to be about Spyro and Cynder and Ignitus.

Gawd... it's like, "HAI SPYRO, LET'S HAVE BABIES" / "HAI SPYRO, CAN I BE JOUR FATHER IN LAW?"

I believe it has to do with both, the relation between Cynder and Spyro as well as his bond with Ignitus. Spyro would die for Cynder while Ignitus is there to help Spyro find the light (hope) in the darkness (makes sense, he's a fire dragon) to help guide him home and too safety since he is considered Spyro's protector and all. It's a beautiful song smilie
