Diggs is back too, unfortunately not discounted, but I had been saving for him, so I finally have him. I really want Ol'Mac now but doubt I will have the gems on time.

Have been saving for these specials and just got ol' mac and Cali... Now do I buy the huts while they are here or see what else comes up this weekend.. Decisions decisions!

I will always say first buy gem items that give you more gems. If you buy the houses/huts, you increase your daily gem generation and are in a better position to buy more gem-cost items/companions later.

The only exception to this is the shrines. Relatively inexpensive when they are on sale, and they help everything else. Daily gold or wish stones, and element of the day bonuses to crops and gold.

Old Mac is a great one to get. The increased energy will allow the newer player to run full Sanct's which in turn gives you additional chances for gems & stones. Well worth it at 65% off, you don't see that too often.

I totally agree with Ark on prioritizing gem production pathways.

ps. I dislike how they are doing the sales one day at a time this weekend. Sucks for planning your buys. Like so much else they do, I'm sure it's geared towards gem sales and getting people to spend real money. Alas.

Bah! No Fiznik. Boo!

I decided to get Old Mac because I need the extra energy.
I also got Buttered Pop Thorn's hut. I wasn't expecting that to appear in the store so soon after it was recently included in the gem pack offer.
I'll get Fiznik if he appears in the store this weekend and I have enough gems left over. I've been playing since the game was released and still not reached max level yet.
EDIT: Aww I'm 70 gems short of getting Fiznik. Never mind he'll be back again. I'll get GM ChopChop's hut instead.

I had some gems saved up so I bought FW Zook & Old Mac. Debating weather or not I will buy Zook's hut. Also tempted to get Cali, but then I won't have enough left in case Fiznik returns this weekend, and I feel like he's the bigger prize to plan for.

Don't forget, we have 2 more days of sales incoming!

Had enough gems to get EITHER ol' Mac or Diggs. Didn't know how Diggs worked, so got ol Mac on sale and was up 100k potions in just a couple hours. ON TRACK to get the 15MIL for upgrades!

and FIZNIK & Tessa are the new "returning" companions.

I think I agree with the previous post that said it stinks to get just one sale a day--no clue where/how to plan! I may wish We had gotten Diggs, but after just half a day in, I gotta agree: Ol' Mac (especially on sale) was perfect for new-ish players

Cupid is one of the alter egos we had but lost when the ipad crashed. Not willing to buy him just to have him again.

Yep. Fiznik was back today, AND he was on sale for 60% off. That was an easy purchase! I also got Butter Poppy's hut yesterday and I still have a bunch of gems left over. I might have to buy one of those windmills...

I sort of exoected them to have lower sales but there was nothing below 550.And I just spent 350 on the adventure clock

Dory was ecstatic to pick up Fiznik. At level 43 she was seriously losing interest with the snail's space.

I would think the next sale would be for Labor Day, which is the first Monday in September (which is also September 1 this year, I think).

Hear, hear! Not from US either and was wondering. Thanks for the info. That will hopefully give me time to save for Ol'Mac and maybe Ermit... As I got Buttered Pop Thorn and Diggs this week-end, that should boost up my gem production.
